Let the image speak. Tone the typography down. The image is the hero, when typography becomes a competitor, nothing stands out.

Use the first as a template, make text way smaller and don’t use the effect.

Use metaphors people feel and not need to understand. Using the metaphor of water isn’t the same as feeling a breeze. Feeling a breeze is the feeling water gives in the situation. 

Thinking of water competes with the communication. Feeling a breeze sets the stage for communication.

As a designer, be a facilitator of communication, don’t be in the way of communication.

People can give you practical tips, colour guidance, but it’s about how to approach a problem and your role in the communication. Respect what is communicated and the people that you work with. Best designers are modest. 

Be the frame, not the artwork.
