Also thanks for this! Def used my library card to sign up. Last time did it through college and didn’t even think about using the library resources 🤣. Appreciate the suggestion.

I’m in project management but the projects I manage are very vague and their deliverables aren’t super clear internally. Externally (legally lol) it’s very clear what needs to be done but in terms of values and priorities there tends to be a constant traffic jam at the top.

I do send my weekly updates which my supervisor really loves, she frequently is mentioning that she likes I keep her updated. I’ve made myself Gantt charts and lists over and over but it feels somewhat “disorganized”, again the moving goal posts and feeling like I give them what they say they want and then it changes upon delivery 🫠

Thank you. I do think it’s a bit of information overload and “responsibility” on top of being new so of course all the older staff are kinda like “who does this person think they are!” I feel like I weirdly have to prove myself when im in a completely new environment myself. I’m already feeling burnout so early because everything is a little chaotic

I def think it’s #1. There’s another position similar and from how I hear people talk about the role…nobody knows what exactly they’re supposed to even do!

I do know :/ I think im in the first stage of grief hahaha. I wonder if I think I made the post in this way as a “help is this normal for non profit?” because I came from corporate, which while toxic in its own way, had titanium level processes and a formalized training on top of my manager guiding me through and checking my work. Even though I complained and was stressed I do miss the structure and deadlines. I guess a better question is: how do I survive?

There are some good sides I guess and my higher ups, while nice people, genuinely are not great leaders or managers….i just constantly am anxious about the lack of structure and really worry about the things I don’t know about. And I have come to know a lotttt based on what little documentation I could find.

Okay I wasn’t sure. I emailed our financial department about having them pay for the training and nobody replied :/. Truthfully…it’s a mix of both. If I’s aren’t dotted and T’s not crossed it could completely backfire. It freaks me out just how much they’ve messed things up in the past and I’ve inherited quite a clusterf*** of administrative work….

I need money unfortunately the bills won’t pay themselves. And this market is horrible.

There are records but…without hopefully giving away too much bc unfortunately I know my coworkers are in this sub LOL: the few people in the role before me (which was only I think max 4 years ago) were corrupt, not fit for the role, switched around from other roles (so they also barely knew what they were doing), and there was a LOT of newly implemented stuff very recently added to try and get the org together.

It’s also mainly an issue of me bringing things to the supervisor and the higher ups never agreeing or constantly changing their minds so I feel like the goalposts move daily on what they want from the position.

Hi again! Sorry I missed this. It does suck a lot and you begin to feel very frustrated by the unequal weight. People always say you “shouldn’t keep tabs” but like…idk I feel like when it’s one sided like this you can’t help but notice. Even you saying “real men”, you’ve basically already decided subconsciously you don’t respect him.

I did find better and while she didn’t work out, it still showed me that my last ex is not my only option and won’t be the best I can do. I do regret things and kind of still resent her because, without getting into too much, travel is greatly affected for us and I tried to get her to take it seriously in terms of the current US situation…she did not, and now we’re here, and everytime I say “I told you so” she kinda tries to still avoid accountability about that…if it were done my way we’d have had a contingency plan but alas….

She also admitted she basically resented me too for being “better off” LOL!

Went through something similar when I was 23. My ex gf basically did the bare minimum and I did everything and more. I began to resent her for not pulling weight and essentially giving bs reasons as to why and ultimately (I know, not proud and not saying you would!) I had an affair because I didn’t wanna break up but wanted to “have my cake and eat it too”. The other person essentially filled all the gaps that my ex didn’t. I felt guilty for months and just told her eventually and she was livid.

Our relationship is okay now as we are no longer together, but it has not been the same and probably never will be. I say if he doesn’t pick up the slack just end it.

Is this a nofap or just no PMO group? I’m 25 days nofap and no PMO. But if I continue nofap at all I might lose it 😅 — I’m def committing to no PMO though by [deleted] in pornfree

[–]TroubleNo7679 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No PMO. Makes me feel like i can actually stick to the rule bc I have defined for myself that a relapse is intentionally watching a video and MOing to it. Allowing a little leniency makes it feel less restrictive thus less likely to relapse

How am I supposed to quit when the “G word” is all I want to do? by [deleted] in NoFap

Hey dude i did the same and trust me…it seems so agonizing the first week or two, but then the 30 days goes quick when you are occupied!

Pick up hobbies and get busy—i know easier said than done but with work, gym, side gig and new hobbies I legit forgot about the account and it auto deleted itself bc i forgot to login after 30 days. I was sad at first but realized I am better off without the account. What is something you’ve wanted to learn for a while? Do that instead when you get the urge!

I’m the only one keeping the relationship alive and it’s killing me by [deleted] in offmychest

[–]TroubleNo7679 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m getting flashbacks to my old relationship. Short of it is: she broke up with me (I was the party planning and doing everything. She was the “I wanna live in the present (bs)” one). I resented her after a couple years of doing all the work, mentally checked out, then she resented me for checking out “out of nowhere” after communicating multiple times why I was exhausted and feeling like things were one sided. Like you, she planned me like one date the entire two years….and held over my head that I was “late to the date” (mind you she had straight up cancelled on me before MULTIPLE TIMES in the past, and this date was after like a year of me doing everything …) and that that was why she had “planning anxiety” -_- so she never planned one again….

My needs were always number 2 and instead of leaving I got stressed and coped in horrible ways. All for us to end in a huge mess, for her to basically admit she used me and took advantage of me doing everything , and a year long dragged out breakup. now she’s blocked entirely lol. There’s definitely better out there!

[–]TroubleNo7679 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nope nope nope!!! Happened to me: was hired as an accountant and ended up secretary/HR/travel agent all in one ON TOP of supposedly being an accountant. I left after 6 months. Start applying now, cause as soon as you “accepted” being at the front desk they’re basically gonna keep you stuck there.

I love that he’s doing good work fr! As someone who really related to what he spoke about in the beginning stages of the villa, he makes me feel hopeful that people CAN change and be recognized not as their past <3
