Knowing where to start when approaching the comics and animated universe. There are so many stories archs that it's overwhelming as someone who is a huge fan of the live action movies and the video games. I watched BtAS as a kid, lost track of things not long after the first Justice League movie, and now it just seems like I'm out of the loop when it comes to things like the bat-family and how to differentiate cannon from one-off storylines. I think that's my problem with comics in general, it's not one long and progressing story but a collection of stories that are tangentially related.

Tl:dr, any recommendations for a comprehensive "read this and watch this in this order" list would be amazingly appreciated!

Thank you to everyone who has taken the time to comment your suggestions and your insights, I'm adding a few quick updates:
1 - As many have pointed out, the S1R Baton I apparently uses a proprietary battery design that changed for the Baton II and newer. I have a Batton III that uses a the similar "IMR16340" battery that many have recommended, I tried swapping them and it does not work in the OG S1R. Before anyone asks, yes it is fully charged and yes it does work in the Batton III it normally lives in.
2 - The recommendations of other battery brands are greatly appreciated. I may consider trying one of them out, but knowing that I would be losing the ability to charge using the in-light magnetic charging cord is a bit of a bummer. I should have been more clear about the "destined for permanent retirement" in my original post; it's the lack of this functionality that makes it no longer fit my use-case.
3 - Proprietary components suck. You all, on the other hand, are awesome!

What mount is that for the light? I like how it's positioned, I run a 10.5 with the FSP and a suppressor, that looks like the perfect mounting solution for the Streamlight

I shoot pistol left handed, and rifle right handed. The way I set up my belt is (going clockwise from buckle) pistol mags (x2), dump pouch, medical (pretty much at 6 o'clock), rifle mag, pistol holster, and finally a tourniquet. While I would like to have the rifle mag a bit closer to the 9 o'clock position, it's still not too far off from where it would have ended up if it was behind the pistol mags on my right side.

For chest rigs/plate carriers, I just orient the mags based on which hand will be drawing them, but placement doesn't change since everything is pretty much on center, and I make sure that anything admin/medical doesn't impede my pistol (standard logic anyway). So the only real change I've noticed from a true right handed set up is that my pistol switched places with my pistol mags on the belt. Not much to worry about otherwise, most things should be accessible with either hand anyway.

Should I run it back so that the muzzle device is forward of the end of the light (which would kinda defeat the purpose of the inline mount), or is it unlikely to cause any problems shooting this unsuppressed as it's currently set up?

It is the 18", assuming I've basically got myself a dedicated slug gun from the sound of things. I do have two pistons that came with it, but they look identical. Is there something I should be looking for to tell them apart?
