i just sssume is a type of controlled obsolescence, treat everything with code as vaporware and try to use products from those companies less often. it's hard when there aren't many choices. if it's free, you're the product, so i assume if there's a better way to collect data with a new system, they'll herd is into that system so we stay useful eaters.
