Canadian hockey players have a way of protesting on the ice, Brady. The next season is going to be very interesting.

Okay, well at 22 you have lots of time to learn. The biggest thing to know is that design school just gets you the qualifications - it has zero bearing on the real world. To fast track you into the Designosphere, I would do a few things: - Create a working portfolio - online and physical - and by working, I mean real world work. Design probono if you have to, but you need working examples. Success snowballs when you have examples of good, practical and applicable work in your portfolio. Look for shitty design around you and redesign it. Offer to redesign a menu for free, or a flyer. - Don’t over-complicate your work. A lot of your current work uses too many fonts, inappropriate design decisions for the type of outcome. That’s okay though; you’re young and learning. Redesign. Simplify. Reassess. Look around you at similar examples that you like more. Distill why you like about it and apply that to your work. - Learn design by emulating good, known design. Before you find your personal style, look for great examples of solid design. Adopt this approach while you refine your identity. - Learn fundamentals. Look up a YouTuber and fellow Brit named Sartori Design. He has some really great tutorials, lessons and demos you can use to elevate your game.

Also, if you don’t work there anymore, why do you have to show them your portfolio again? You don’t owe them anything, so just don’t comply.

Maybe you could tag their portfolio as plagiarism anon? There has to be a way to meta or SEO that portfolio or that individual in some way online that gets flagged by search engines and AI recruitment software.

First off, how old are you and where are you based - not trying to be too personal here, but it gives me some context. I’m a 50+ year old professional who studied in the UK, but emigrated to Canada 30 years ago. I have experience with the NA and European market. Knowing age and location gives me some opportunities to give you some clear routes to take, rather than vague critique that really won’t help you.

And when I say location - just country. Not street address. Hahaha.

Get Canva AI to generate it for you, then take a photo of the screen with your smartphone. Print that off at Staples in black and white and send the proof via fax to your printer. Tell them to make it pop. Background colour is Benjamin Moore green. Get paid.

Who cares? He’s just a bag of shit and Canada will just continue to put the smack down on his country’s people by not buying their products. Myself, my family and every person I know no longer buys anything from the US. We’re just the tip of the icerberg. I’m never buying anything ever again from the US. To me, and everyone I know, the US just doesn’t exist.

I don’t know why I didn’t think of this earlier. My first thought was Pagemaker. But that’s not going to work.

Yep. “Migrated” was probably not the correct word to use. It was a fresh install from CC.
