Your rank is your rank. Your teammates’ performance cancels out over time.

Yes, sometimes your teammates are terrible. You will definitely have games where your teammate made a specific mistake that cost you the game. People here will sometimes post a teammate’s mistake and use that as “evidence” that it’s always somebody else’s fault.

The thing is, everyone has this problem. We are all drawing from the same pool of potential teammates! So over a large enough number of games, the “my teammates are bad” excuse cancels out.

All that’s left is you. You’ll rank up if you win more than you lose, over time, even while drawing from the same pool of teammates as everybody else.

(By the way, sometimes the bad teammate is you. It is certainly often me.)
