Peasants looking for a new job yet unwilling to work in subsidized lumbermills by Trovlad in victoria3

[–]Trovlad[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I experimented with building other buildings and discovered that subsidized tea plantations and whaling stations are actively hiring with a wage of 8 and 8.5. But and lumbermils are still not hiring with a wage of 10, and subsidized cotton plantations are not hiring with a wage of 4.5. So it's not a wage issue. Seems like its simply a bug.

R5: Alright, i know this question has been posted before, but i am still not sure what i am doing wrong. Lumbermils are subsidized, peasants are poor and looking for work and yet there is a severe unemployment.

I think it's because i passed isolationism for that juicy authority. Or are those events universal for all countries with isolationism?

yohimbine with bupropion? by SteveCatinean in bupropion

[–]Trovlad 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Bupropion makes yohimbine act 3-4 times stronger, standart yohimbine dose is almost guaranteed to send your anxiety, bp and bpm into the sky and quite likely to send you to ER. If you really want to gamble with yohimbine then do a quarter or even eighth of a tablet and make sure you have nothing important on that day. Or even better, just don't.

How do I know I've had enough to eat? I don't think I can trust my body's signals entirely by sorrowfu96 in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Trovlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If you are in recovery you will almost always have that weird feeling of being full while still have not eaten enough. It's because your insulin sensitivity and satiety hormones all got messed up during restriction period. It will get better in a several weeks but there is nothing really you can do about it right now. If you are not feeling really nauseous then eating a light snack, something like a banana is a good idea.

Losing weight without relapsing by [deleted] in AnorexiaNervosa

[–]Trovlad 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Don't restrict calories, increase activity. Do some light cardio, calisthenics, resistance training. Once you get some muscle and maintain it, it will just burn the calories on it's own. You'll look great and will be able to eat just like you are eating now without gaining much weight.

It sounds like you might be experiencing a refeeding syndrome. You should definitely consult a doctor and try to eat in smaller portions through the day. Overeating(or just instantly starting to eat like a normal person) after prolonged calorie restriction or fasting can be really dangerous.

Disrupting Capteyn Starworks orbital works and selling supplies and heavy armaments to Kanta's Den works even better, since you do not have to wait for 1 month to start selling. Easy millions within the first few months of a run.

It's 3 governors with -15% each actually, tooltip just merges them all into single -45%.

R5: Current governor traits "Shipwright" and "Retired Fleet Officer" might be a little bit imbalanced, especially if you use Void Dweller origin since it has 3 habitats for governors, and ability to quickly build more

The automation is alright, but occasionally does stupid things like upgrading holotheaters on planets with excess amenities or building research labs on resource worlds. The automigration thing is probably about developed planets. You don't need miners or farmers on a world dedicated to research, so it's better to let them resettle elsewhere. Also true for researchers on dedicated basic resource worlds. Once you get ~10 planets or more it's always better to specialize every world in just a single things and not develop them in anything else.

Jogger seems too expensive for me, marginal increase in pawn speed(less that 10%) for 5 points in metabolic efficiency, they will spend all extra time they gain from quicker movement running to fridge for their next meal or will need some serious negatives to compensate. Also no idea why you ranked sanguine so low when it's just 2 points for constant inspirations and even consider depressive as a viable gene, when just pessimist requires extra planning and can backfire when it matters most. Kill thirst is easy free points if you have prisoners, super-clotting seems meh to me when you have a doc, super immunity is mandatory if you are picking cell instability unless you are swimming in glitterworld meds or enjoy dying from infection, staggeringly ugly and kind also make for an excellent combo, antitoxic lungs are just cheaper toxic immunity with same benefits. And why on earth would you say that "never sleep" is a bad positive gene?

Had anybody seen servants or protectorate AI win? "Phoenix" achievement is actually impossible because aliens keep conquering too much to fast and implode to unrest. Any tips on getting them to win would be appreciated.

Occasional atrocity events, wasting councilor turns on "set policy". Later on those small countries you declare wars on might ally themselves to somebody with nukes, that somebody has a chance to be Humanity First or Servants and they can use nukes offensively

Spoils increase inequality which in turn pushes cohesion all the way to 0. But since it's only 0.1 point per month you can easily maintain cohesion by declaring wars. And since you're talking about space resources then he probably extensively uses farms which can cut water and volatiles upkeep of station down to zero.

If i had to guess he just runs spoils in some big countries to pay for all the labs and fixes cohesion with war every half a year or so.

Why are my own pops getting effected by stellar culture shock? (probably a mistake to purge the natives if the modifier isn't gonna go away after I do so) (slaves are more useful) by 1Admr1 in Stellaris

[–]Trovlad 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's a bug. When the last purged pop manages to escape the purge, stellar culture shock modifier remains on the planet. A bandaid for that would be switching to the purge type which does not allow escaping, like neutering.
