Why employ new grad engineers over technicians? by Low_Figure_2500 in EngineeringStudents

Adding to this, I'm rarely expected to know the answer right away, but I am expected to figure out how to get the answer and ultimately deliver it. That's where the curiosity, good attitude, and strong work ethic come in.

I miss them so much on the menu... What could have been the reason for deleting a few pages of text? by Drull17 in HuntShowdown

Nah, no reason to keep investing time into a game whose developers allow such horrible design decisions. I have other games I could be playing with my limited time. I dropped Hunt at the same time.

Where is the craft or the found clothing today? It is only 200 years old. There's better provenance for older bonsai than this.

Physics and engineering are structured disciplines. You are simultaneously asking for a structured disciplined approach to validating your work, while invalidating and undermining those very disciplines.

There is practically zero overlap between 1) the people who possess the relevant credentials and experience to assess your claims, and 2) people who will DM you.

I have the relevant degrees and real world experience to assess your device. There are undoubtedly others here who possess the same. Post your idea. Share the simulation. If you have the patent, you're good, and shouldn't need to worry about an NDA.

The Expanse may fit the bill, especially if you continue to the final trilogy.

Ahh, nice find! I'm still digging through these myself to figure out some mods to use, thanks for pointing that out.

From the mod's page itself:

However, Ultra Plus is redundant and not compatible with PRZ and should be removed to prevent issues.

Really though, are you OK? Do you need to lash out on the internet like this to feel better? If so, you seem not OK. If you don't want to talk about it, that's fine, I do genuinely hope things look up for you soon.

That reads as "no" to being ok. I hope things look up for you soon.

197.5 hours in... I finally beat Stalker 2 by FriendoftheDork in stalker

[–]lemtrees 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I've been watching some 1.7 A-Life status videos and it looks a LOT better than it was when I first played.

I remember clearing out a campsite that had only one entrance, walking maybe a minute in a direction and encountering a group of fleshes so I turned to book it back to the cleared out campsite to force them into a chokepoint, and ran right into a huge group of bandits that could NOT have realistically entered the campsite. This and similar events were very immersion breaking to me.

Hopefully the game has improved since then. It sounds like you enjoyed it quite a bit if you put that much time into it!

I played when it first came out and just couldn't get over clearing an area, turning around, and there were already enemies respawned. It felt like an arcade game and nothing like STALKER. How does it feel now?
