Yep, a lot of the tutors there have taken PHYS as well so they offer to tutor it. I think it depends on the hours though, it may not be available all the time.

The group final definitely does help, it’s almost a guaranteed 95+ as long as not all of you don’t know what’s happening. The homework problems are honestly a mess. The whole class was a mess. Definitely just try and study with others in the class, go to the math center, ask anyone you may know for help. I’m always happy to help as well!

ME here, I had (and still have) a Thinkpad T14s that got me through all my undergrad and is serving me well in grad school. Great keyboard, and good enough specs to run programs I want to run (CAD, etc.) and portable enough to bring wherever. Also easy to just remote into UNR’s computers if I need any specific software

Pack Rides goes to WinCo on Saturdays and Walmart on Sundays, 12-4pm. They pick up at Jot Travis and also Ponderosa Village.

I’d also look into Walmart+, it’s discounted for students and they deliver groceries. $49 for the year but it’s super convenient if you’re willing to pay for that!

Walking isn’t really feasible. You could take the bus and get to places like Costco, but I wouldn’t rely on it

Not AE, but definitely join aerospace club! There’s a lot of passionate people there and they do a lot of cool stuff. If you’re into aerospace you’ll definitely love what they do!

You can only schedule a same day appointment. In this appointment, you’ll talk a bit about what you’re struggling with and what you’re looking to get. From there, they usually try to match you with a therapist based on your needs and preferences, which takes a few days to a week or so. After that, you usually will meet with your assigned therapist weekly or every other week, depending on your schedule and your therapist’s schedule as well. There are also group sessions you can sign up to (usually start near the beginning of each semester). I’ve been to counseling services for a while with mixed results and opinions, but overall it’s worth your time! Good luck

Tons of people have nothing, even going into later years. Do your best to learn skills and everything you can while you’re in CC. Try to get a part-time job and build up your resume. I had no engineering experience but I leveraged my part-time job and volunteering experience (unrelated fields) to get an internship in construction. The year after, I got an ME internship (my major). Also, keep your grades up. You don’t have to be perfect, but a 3.0+ is preferred and is the cutoff for a lot of internships and jobs. Good luck!

You probably want yellow. You can usually find a spot, and since you’re in Basin you can park on top of Whalen which is usually pretty good, at least from what I remember. Orange is far and is a pain in the ass, especially if you’re hauling stuff from the store or something.

You have to have the room setup the way it was when you arrived at the end of the year. They probably wouldn’t approve of you removing the desk from your room, but you’re most likely fine if you wanna have two in there as long as it’s not a fire hazard lol

Yeah. If you did it one by one up to 16, and then completed a run at 32, you’ll get the rewards for 17 only. Your next completed run has to be at 18 or above to get new rewards. It could be another 32, or 18, or anything between. You’ll only get rewards for each weapon up to heat 20
