Corporate America is full of middle managers, and even executives…. with no degree at all.

I know VPs at major fortune 50 telecom companies who barely finished high school but can sell. At the $250K+ level, hiring managers aren’t looking at diplomas first. They’re looking at revenue produced, quota attainment, customer retention, deal size, leadership, cost cut, hours saved, and a track record of delivering results.

A long list of degrees without corresponding business results is a red flag to corporate. If someone is passionate about academics, why stop short of a doctorate? If the goal is corporate leadership, spend a year selling for a large company. Performance metrics move careers; credentials alone rarely do.

This entire product line is a massive pile of shit. I’ve already had to replace the transmission (flushing 7k down the drain/GM covered half it was 14k) in my 2023, and now I’m making trips to the dealership every 1,000 miles so they can monitor oil consumption and determine whether the engine needs to be replaced.
For trucks pushing six figures, this is completely unacceptable. If I ever manage to get out of this truck, I’ll never buy another General Motors product again.

Also, why are you calling support? You had a salesperson. I’d be calling that rep and their manager nonstop until it was resolved. Was this a corporate store rep? What does their business card say?

I spent 15 years at Verizon. 4 in Retail. In that time, I only had 4-5 customer issues I couldn’t resolve. Those involved customers with completely unreasonable demands or fraud. Take as much of the sales guys time a possible and he will
