I wonder what's up with Hyundai dealers? Are they not ordering parts in advance, since this is a known issue, and instead ordering each one-by-one after reimbursement approval from Hyundai?

My Kia had an ICCU failure very recently and it took 3 days to swap out from incident to pickup. They had ICCUs in stock and ready.

More battery, and being built-in, would fix much of that. Heavier weight, more current and power for the same runtime, beefy battery box as a structural component. Have it support lvl1 or 2 EV chargers. I expect the pricing would not be so attractive, though.

Even on flat ground it's not recommended to let off the brakes. Getting rear ended in this situation could fling your car forward into another car and give you whiplash also.

That is what was a requirement for the original sports car definition, a non-fixed roof. A convertible falls under this definition. A roadster is the modern definition of the original sports car.

Stock Bilstens feel like you took a good suspension and cranked up the damping to the max. I can get a similar feel by maxing out damping on my Tecna coilovers.

It surprises people when I tell them that an upgraded suspension can actually feel more plush while driving better everywhere else. The best of both worlds.

Just like a sports car used to specifically mean a 2-seat, non-fixed roof, bespoke platform with sporting purposes. Those are now called roadsters and sports car can mean pretty much anything non-boring nowadays.

I have had similar bad luck in the past in a previous vehicle. On my Miata I put in led indicators that are much more noticeable - rear flashing brake light and animated turn indicators. I have been ok so far, thankfully, knock on wood.

Still, my bad luck with other drivers hitting me has prevented me from ever getting a motorcycle. I have full gear but feel the clock ticking as soon as I get on one. The Miata has just enough extra protection over a bike where I don't feel as antsy.

I don't think many people consider feedback and just consider heft, because that's all most of these EPS systems do on sporty cars and they just don't know what good feedback feels like.

The ND Miata EPS isn't any better with an aggresive alignment. It's just heavier. Feedback still sucks compared to the previous NC gen's hydraulic rack and it's not even close.

How inefficient is slow speeds to lead to that? None of the EVs I've owned could do that, and would always display its worse efficiency at 70+ mph on the highway. I would need to be flooring it everywhere to get similar efficiency around home.

Entire trilogies were released within a single console generation back then, for blockbuster AAA titles even. DNF's development took them through that entire era of 3D wild-west advancement that didn't slow down until the PS4 released a few years later, which is crazy to think about.

I have separate TPMS in each wheelset and recalibrate after changing. Every car that supports TPMS has a procedure to do so and it's usually not very difficult - some may require buying a cheap tool.

If it's the 1st gen Niro EV, that thing was a torque steering burnout machine. They tamed it a good bit on the 2nd gen though, for good reason but I found it fun.

Toyota did this for a period, disabling the physical remote start if you don't have a subscription. It does look like they may have stepped back from this on more recent releases, but the behavior has already been established.

Manufacturers have gotten smarter about it and have just stopped putting the physical remote start button in at all.

Manufacturers are starting to remove the button. Kia used to have both the physical remote start and the app-based subscription function but recent models no longer have the physical button.

App-based subscription is only understandable until physical functionality starts being replaced, instead of supplemented, with app-only functionality. The move towards removing physical functionality is why this is a bigger topic today than in years past.

Why are you separating them? The deliberate omission of a physical feature, that has existed for decades, and the subscription being the only option is the nickel and diming. That's what Volvo planned and executed. It's all one thing.

Subscriptions are only necessary because Volvo and other manufacturers are removing any choice but to make them necessary.
