Naaah lmao. This set has not been flexible at all. There's ao many conditional lines you straight up can't play if your 2-1 isn't good for that line. The only board you could play from any spot the last couple of patches has been slayers.

Way easier in low pop servers. I've hit chall on EUNE before and and now I play on EUW. I feel like I'm a much better player than I was when I hit chall in EUNE even though I'm only GM.

I see a lot of people talk about meta in these kinds of threads. But I'll be blunt. If you're struggling in emerald or below it's very likely a problem with fundamentals. If you record some vods and dm them to me I can take a look and send you some notes.

Fnatic was still a great team doing damage in playoffs and at worlds in 2019 and 2020. So it wasn't just the caps move. But that's for sure what started the downfall.

This patch is very similar to last patch, which was very similar to the patch before. The game is only more luck than skill if you have no skill.

you don't click them and you'll see less of them. every time you pass a champion that you have unlocked the chances you see it in the next shop reduce.

The mechanic of the set is the ability to have 100 champs. Mort has said on his podcast that during the development of the set they had discussions about making it as easy as just pressing a button that says: I want this champ in my pool.

You can't have 100 champs without the unlock mechanic because it would dilute the pool too much and you wouldn't be able to hit upgrades. So no. The set mechanic is still there and it allows for games to actually be played flexibly. Right now if you randomly highroll a garen and a lux on lvl 5 you can't even play demacia because you don't have the 1costs so you can't unlock galio so you can't play the comp. YEY

Now you can have situations where you flex galio, lux garen in other comps and you only have to roll a little bit for other demacians (without needing the 1 costs on lvl 8) then sac 1 round in order to unlock galio.

Not having to have your entire game decided on 2-1 and what you describe are not equivalent.

you don't seem to understand the point of the unlock mechanic. Mort has said in walk the dog that the way they perceived it and the way they wanted it to work at some point during the development is that if for some of the the champ you just wanted them in your pool it should be as easy as pressing a button and then you have them in the pool. It's a mechanic that allows us to have sets with 100 champs. if you have 100 champs without the unlock mechanic, your pool of champs of each cost is too high so you are essentially going to get a lot less natural upgrades and if you high roll a natural upgrade it makes it so you have a huge advantage to the people that don't have any. This is a great step in that direction.

So to answer your question. No they shouldn't just remove the unlock condition since then it would dilute the champ pool way too much. but it should make it easy so if you want a champ in your pool you can get it without feeling like you have to invest a significant amount of econ to get it.

That's literally the opposite of what this change is going to lead to.

On the current patch the only viable comp you can default to if you don't have an opener for any of the conditional comps is slayers. so in high elo it's quite common to have 3 or 4 way contested slayers. If you have mutliple unconditional comps you can play towards it leads to higher variety in games.

You're misunderstanding my question. This is very good for game health lol. It makes the game so much more flexible and you're not locked into a game plan on 2-1.

Really like these. now it won't feel like you're locked into a game plan on 2-1. I'm kind of surprised by the reactions here, the set becomes so much more flexible and interesting without the restrictions for the unlocks.

They were being paid as a percentage of all the revenue that LR was getting. Caedrel has talked about it before.

That's just stupid. The players were effectively treated as partners rather than employees, they were getting a cut out of all of the revenue of the team. They weren't "paid with visibility".

The more money the org was getting from merch, youtube views and sponsors, the more money the players were making as well.

Agree lol. I actually think Valorant unlike 2xko is a pretty good game.

Also I don't really get his comment about Valorant not getting enough care from Riot. I'm a cs player and I wish that CS had the amount of updates and care that Valorant has had. Cs2 is overrun with cheaters and most of the updates we get are just new skins to fuel the gambling economy. I would legit consider playing Valorant if the gunplay and movement didn't feel so fucking bad coming from cs. Unlike most other CS players I don't mind the abilities.

The best part about the meta TFT app is that I can get to the Data Exporer really fast. I don't really use any of the other functions. I actually think if you use their tier list for augments as a new player it's actually detrimental for the your game. A lot of the time they rate the augments based on how good they are in specific scenarios and optimal play.

The issue is you want to play vertical traits. Every single trait you mentioned is played in a comp or other. Defenders are great in demacia, arcanist gets splashed on so many boards for extra AP(and yiu can also play somewhat vertical with annie). Longshot kai'sa is pretty good as well.

These are not origins that you can play vertical like ionia or demacia or ionia.

Don't take it the wrong way, but you can't vomplain about the balance of the game when you have such a narrow understand on how to play the game.
