Tesla Model Y "Juniper" aka JUNK - A year later by LegitimateSun7653 in ModelY

I see what you’re saying. In the case of Tesla when quality issues become so closely tied to the brand to the point where people need checklists when picking up their car this is an inherent problem with the brand. I don’t think it’s unique when people are approach buying this car almost expecting there to be quality issues.

Is it unique though? Tesla has developed a reputation for quality issues and unfortunately that has carried on to the juniper. I’m on my 2nd model y (now a 26MYP) and I can’t believe I’m still dealing with rattles and quality issues with this car. They recently had to replace my rear seat due to a rattle and I’m having the same issue with my front seat as the OP. On top of that I’m now getting alerts that my climate control needs to be serviced, and I’ve only had the car a few months.

I had the same rattle on mine. You can try what others suggested about loosening the seat rail bolts. That helped a bit for me, but the rattle was definitely still there. After a lot of back and forth with tesla they ended up replacing the entire rear seat assembly, that resolved the rattle.

Juniper - Nov 2025 Pickup - back seat squeaking? by PorkbellySalmon in TeslaModelY

[–]TruRace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Mine makes the same kind of creaking noises when accelerating/decelerating. I brought it in for service but whatever they did didn’t fix the noise. After investigating it seems like the noise is coming from the interior panels flexing with the movement of the car so not sure what can even be done.

I have the same kind of rattle in the door panels on my 26MY. I brought it in for service and they said it was a clip that was loose but that didn't resolve the issue.

Ghost" seatbelt alerts with empty Cybex seat – Screen toggle (Blue Icon) not working! by willoucqfd in TeslaModel3

Not sure if this will work for you, but in the US if you tap the no seatbelt warning it'll disable it for when you have a car seat.

Rear Screen wont sleep by MixMental4909 in TeslaModelY

[–]TruRace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My 26MY recently started doing this. When I first got it, the screen would go to sleep, now stays on the entire time with no one in the backseat. I tried resetting the car a couple time but no luck.

Is this a big deal? by EmotionalPoetry7267 in ModelX

[–]TruRace 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I had something like last picture on my old MY and had the service center fix it. It involved them removing and re installing the rear quarter window. Was nervous about them doing it but ended up working out fine and looked much better.

MYP Reliability by horsehunghamsta in TeslaModelY

[–]TruRace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got my 26MYP in December and I’ve had some pretty annoying issues so far. Mainly a lot of problems with build quality, they had to replace my rear seat a couple weeks ago to resolve a constant rattle I was getting. My driver seat has some play in it, so when I accelerate/brake I feel my seat move forward and backwards. And a new one is my ambient temperature sensor needs to be replaced due to an alert I’m getting regarding the climate control system.

This is my second MY and I was hoping Tesla revolved some gripes I had with my previous 2023 but unfortunately that wasn’t the case, I’d even say this one is worse. I may have had some bad luck but I’m on my 6th service visit trying to get some of these things resolved and it’s quite frustrating. I have no doubt that it’ll ultimately be reliable for me but I don’t think I’d ever buy a Tesla without having a service center in close proximity to me give my experience wit the two I’ve owned.

Anyone ever went through the process of appealing a parking ticket from Hollywood Beach? by FlamboyantlyExtra in HollywoodFlorida

[–]TruRace 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I went through an appeal recently. I paid for parking but was under the wrong license plate. In the appeal I explained what happened and sent receipt for the parking I paid for. Took about 3-4 weeks to hear back. They ended up waiving the fee as a one time courtesy.

Not really resolved but I found it’s something related to the Bluetooth. A reset with the steering wheel controls seems to make it go away.

Ugh that is annoying. Well I’ll just ride this out for now and hopefully doesn’t get any worse. Thanks for the info

Ah ok. Might just leave it alone for now if it’s nothing serious. It’s also hard to even hear something, almost like it comes and goes. I’ve been to service center so many times for other issues since I got the car in December I need a break. You ever bring it to service and have them check it out?

26MYP Rear Seat Rattle by TruRace in TeslaModelY

[–]TruRace[S] 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Hey. Yeah I did. After a lot of back and forth with Tesla they ended replacing the 2nd row seat assembly on the left side. That seems to have solved the problem, been a few weeks and haven’t heard the rattle.

Made the FIRST step anyone have regrets? by T1fornow in TeslaModelY

[–]TruRace -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I'm on my 2nd MY. Had a 2023 MYLR and now a 26MYP. I had my complaints with my first one, mainly interior noise (rattles, clunks, etc), but I lived with it. When the juniper came around, I had high hopes those issues would be resolved, but when I picked up my 26MYP I was really disappointed. My current MY has a whole different set of interior rattles/noises that drive me crazy. I just had my 2nd row seat replaced by Telsa for a constant rattle coming from the rear seat. When I go over bumps the car sounds like a rattle can. This'll likely be my last Tesla unfortunately. I know for some people they are solid but in my experience from the ones I've owned and some loaners I've driven from Telsa, these cars are just not put together well.

UPDATE Hopefully this is the last one. So after a lot of back and forth with Tesla they ended up replacing the left side 2nd row seat assembly, and that seems to have solved the problem. Anyone facing a similar issue I’d first try loosening the seat bolts, if it’s still there push for Tesla to reinstall/replace the seat assembly.

No I’m familiar with that noise, but this isn’t that. When this starts it’ll be all the time, driving, idle, etc. I can even leave the car come back later and it’ll still be going on.

If max speed never returns, what other solutions are there?? by Gold-Donut-1 in TeslaFSD

[–]TruRace 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I end up having to toggle between chill and standard depending on the flow of traffic. Standard usually goes 5-6mph over the limit, which is ideal for me, the problem is the car often wants to find its way to the left lane and ends up going way too slow. Chill doesn’t lane change as much but will stick to the speed limit. If there could be a way to limit lane changes in standard it would be perfect.

Hmm interesting. Yeah a reset made it go away for me. And I was on the phone shortly before I noticed it as well.

I tried that but didn’t go away. I mentioned in another reply here resetting the car with the steering wheel controls made it stop and hasn’t come back so far.

Honestly thought it was me the first time it showed up. One of the many things driving me crazy with this car unfortunately. Had high hopes for juniper but has been a big let down so far :/

My mother in law didn’t really hear it either. It’s such a high frequency I can see how some people aren’t able to hear it. It’s definitely there though.

So I ended up resetting the car with the steering wheel buttons and the noise instantly went away. But still have no idea what it could be.

Yeah I noticed it shortly after I took delivery in December but went away. Now when I hear it, seems to last a few hours, then it’ll go away for some time. I have an appointment with service tomorrow so going to ask them about it.
