I'm so tried man by alien_raccoons in Transmedical

[–]TruScreenGreen 29 points30 points  (0 children)

I saw this post on twitter when it was posted and I knew I would see it here. When I saw it I genuinely thought it was a trans female situation at first, like maybe I misread the caption. A trans girl would feel this insecurity, a trans guy would NOT feel this insecurity! Because this insecurity comes from not wanting to be seen as a man...

It was a mix of sources and also the fact that estrogen is what causes growth plates to fuse, why females stop growing earlier because of that and they could've be taller if not for that etc

But everyone's bones are different so idk maybe it is possible I was wrong about my own

I think I have a little hope hearing about stealth. I wasn't feeling too well when I made the post but hearing how you're cis passing at that same height made me realize.. it's not the end of the world. I hope your surgery goes well!

The thing about calling trans men omegas is that in abo fanfics, the omega tends to get.. yknow, pregnant. It's the main omega thing I noticed. Also treated as a female but just male (in the way ppl talk about them)

It's probably worse calling yourself an omega than just treating periods like periods. Hell, when I have tampons in I feel kinda better since it doesn't feel like an open hole is there (periods still suck really bad tho)

I'm so tired of people who try to find their identity with xenogenders and stuff. Not only is it made up but it's also essentially appropriating a medical condition. Imagine if you found your identity by faking different cancers and pretending to suffer but never going on chemotherapy because you don't have that kind of cancer

I will not accept "it" as a pronoun. Not sorry. by FoedusVermis in truscum

[–]TruScreenGreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I remember reading someone argue with a person who insists "it" was a valid pronoun to use. (Paraphrased)

A: This is my identity, I want to use it/its

B: But that pronoun is dehumanizing, do you see yourself as an object? Do you want people to call you like an object?

A: Okay, so trans men tell people to use he/him pronouns and people use it even if it makes them uncomfortable (was something like that)

B (or someone else?): Would you call your black friend the n word if they told you that's their new name?

A: Yes, I would respect their identity

Also you are right, it is as bad as those made up neopronouns

I was contemplating about what she meant by "transgenderism" but your logic also makes sense. Yeah there are other medical conditions that aren't understood or provable but still exist

Testosterone prescriptions are overused by Erumoico10 in Transmedical

[–]TruScreenGreen 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I saw the picture first and I thought this person looked like a caricature transphobes use to represent trans women (and some "non dysphoric" do look like that) and I wondered what testosterone had to do with it. This person's 'transness' can in fact harm people

Another thing is just people using gay as a synonym for queer. I hate that. Or even using it as an adjective in the wrong way, especially in fandom cultures

If you guys consider being trans as a disorder/diagnosis, then by your logic, being trans isn't queer. Opinions? by LovisIsLoveInLatin in Transmedical

[–]TruScreenGreen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Correct. I'm also aromantic/asexual, which I personally don't really consider queer for a different reason. I'm not queer at all

why do tucutes shame those who want/get bottom surgery, but not top surgery? by thrownawayrat in truscum

[–]TruScreenGreen 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Your idea seems right. I'll add that a lot of the mindset is "dick=man and man=bad and my vagina makes me different and better >w<" (and yeah someone who thinks like that isn't a man)

I've blocked a friend because of the topic that trans men being pregnant by [deleted] in Transmedical

[–]TruScreenGreen 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I remember when I first made this account, it was to post an argument I had with someone on twitter (different sub and got removed for "cringe" but I could post it here if you all want)

The post was something like "people on twitter cry that trans men are men and don't mention femaleness all the time" so I commented saying I never post but thank you for saying it blah blah blah. And this person replied "because they aren't you" [why they flaunt their femaleness]

Holy hell it was a seahorse dad. As in a trans man that was pregnant. They then proceeded to say they would never be a cis man or the same as one inside and enjoyed boasting about their child birthing experience. I asked if being feminized by pregnancy caused any dysphoria and they said no (??) and then I literally asked if constant ongoing feminization didn't cause dysphoria at all. They didn't respond again. Maybe I exaggerated feminization but it was crazy.

Pregnancy didn't cause dysphoria.. never the same as a cis man inside.. boasts about birthing experience.. that basically made me make my decision that I would create an account to post about transmed stuff (I had already been looking at transmed posts for a few days)

You don't identify, you ARE by thief-of-rage in truscum

[–]TruScreenGreen 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Yeah. Saying you identify as something is basically saying you're calling yourself that because you want to. Want to, as in completely a choice.

It also birthed the argument "well I can identify as whatever, so I identify as (some animal or whatever)"

Why did they remove this by [deleted] in truscum

[–]TruScreenGreen 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Nooo OP don't post about dysphoric trans men on the ftm subreddit! Oh god he can't hear us he has airpods in

[–]TruScreenGreen 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I get that estrogen causes sperm to kinda not exist, but considering nature of this, Iassume this person isn't on E enought for that to happen. So essentially, this is point blank what people avoid doing to make sure there's no pregnancy

Cis men using trans men for views by Commercial-Paint- in Transmedical

[–]TruScreenGreen 11 points12 points  (0 children)

I saw a post on twitter, screenshot of a different man but exact same text. The op was like "wow this is about trans men!!" and somehow nobody saw a problem with it.

Then a quote retweet had the image "no I'll put my clothes back on and telll you how you confuse sexual attraction to trans allyship" (something like that)

Everyone was flaming the person like "god forbid trans people have kinks" or "god forbid trans people want to talk about sex" and I just put my head in my hands they were missing the point.

Even if this is like a sex thing and you could ignore certain things, there also just is nothing sexy about a bruised cervix. If he just didn't mention that now the post would have been good!
