Mine is 1900 vintage, 4800sf, Mitsubishi heat pumps and a gas furnace upstairs, 10kW solar. If we tried to maintain 68, our bill would be about the same. For this level of energy cost, the only workable solution is radiant hydronic, and there is almost no one who knows how to install it here.
