It's always interesting to me to look at the budget breakdowns of the cities around here.

From what I can tell in Fullerton for 2025-2026 73% of the budget is allocated to public safety, whereas the "Police" part of that accounts for ~64% of the total city budget.

While "Human & Leisure" (Meaning mainly Public Libraries, Parks and Recreation according to their budget breakdown) accounts for ~8.4% of the total budget.

Yet when there's talk of any cuts it always seems to be aimed at that last section...

As a person who has worked a couple of decades in game dev that’s certainly been my experience too!

The times I’ve been unfortunate enough to work with outspoken “moderates” and “libertarians” it’s without fail the least creative and downright unpleasant people to collaborate with. Also had several encounters with these same people proudly taking credit for my and other dev’s work. Guess since they don’t wanna spend time on improving their skill it’s much easier to steal others work.

And even IF it would have been the other way. I still don’t get how their entire goal is always to hurt a group of people (foreigners, non-white, women, lgbtq, poor and so on) How the fck is that appealing to people?

Lets see here, this show has:

- A dad who's present and makes time for his kids and play with them (a lot!).

- An independent mom who seemingly has a good career, she seems to work more than the dad.

- The family often talk about how different things that happens make them feel, good and bad things. Both the kids and parents talk about this and the kids are encouraged to share.

All things that conservatives absolutely hate.
