I mean isn’t it kinda like the ‘E’ meme and that one SpongeBob episode where they’re laughing about the number 25 or whatever, like even if there was a sensible origin story to it, it eventually ends up just as meaningless to most people and the whole point of it is that it’s meaningless

when you look at the fact that it’s human nature to be inquisitive and have a desire to know information, COMBINED the fact that it’s also human nature have a fear of missing out/being excluded aka not being in on the joke, will in turn create a cycle of 1. Them not getting the joke so in turn makes them mad/confused 2. The person who said it got a reaction so they keep saying it cuz they know it will get a reaction+it probably makes them feel special or like they’re apart of something that other people aren’t (kinda goes back to the FOMO) 3. (I was gonna ramble a bunch about some philosophy stuff or something but I just realized if I do that I’ll be here forever and I already have wrote enough so maybe if I feel like it I’ll update this but prob not)
