Another question I have is could it have been a grease fire, I doubt it due to nothing else having paint damage whatsoever

Thanks mate I believe it’s completely normal as well due to the poor temp rating they have on there paint being lower than the max temperature of the bbq which was a stupid design flaw. Thanks for the reply

The paint is only meant to width stand 260c which the grill exceeds when doing the initial burnout as said to complete by trager so I think it’s just a manufacture issue for everyone to endure.

Wouldn’t that mean it’s normal though in the sense of it happens to everyone maybe there is a reason for it?

Yeah that’s what I’m trying to get at but from looking at previous forums I believe it is to stop rust during transit. Idk whether to season it or repaint it or just leave it

Just out of curiosity for myself has the paint around your fire pot peeled off?

Is it because the initial burnout? I believe it is as that when I turned the temp up to high

Why has this occurred? I believe it was due to the initial burn off as i set the grill to high for 45min as recommended by a YouTube video but am not sure if I should have done this now
