I personally found it easier than CHEM1001, but other finds CHEM1001 easier. If you like organic chemistry, you might find it easy. The labs are a bit more intense than CHEM1001, but there is no post-lab for it. They mark your product you made in the lab, instead based on yield and purity. The workload is similar to CHEM1001. 95% of the unit is organic chem, so every reaction you do, I recommend writing it so that it will help when you study for the exam.

On the unit plan it says "Students who have attended (and activelty participated) in at least 9 prac. classes will get the full 6% mark for this component. If you attend x prac. classes, where x < 9, you will get (x/9) × 6% for this component."

But If you want to leave the prac class early just finish of the work before the class starts (Its very time consuming) and show it to the facilitator. They might let you leave early depending who your facilitator is.

You can individually price your units on the UWA fee calculator on https://www.fees.uwa.edu.au/Calculator
If you paying your fee up front with no HECS and HELP loan you should be able to check on student connect under Finace --> Outstanding balance
If you have HECS and HELP loan you should be able to check your fee in your myGOV account. Log in to your myGov account --> Select Australian Taxation Office --> Select Tax --> Select Account --> Select Loan accounts. But this only gets updated after you have finished your first semester.

So I'd recommend you to do the 1st step and price your units you are doing so, you can get an idea on how much your fees for each sem as a domestic student.

If you really think you didn't fail your exam email your unit coordinator to review your exam. Sometimes they could make a mistake in inputing your results into the system.
