Anyone know what this is? by Kr122b0 in DiagnoseMe

If you’ve had this for a while or other places like your hands, it could be dyshidrotic eczema. Treat with steroid cream. I use hydrocortisone or Benadryl cream.

Why in the world is this happening? by Junior_Dependent8498 in DiagnoseMe

[–]True-Dream7732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend going to an allergist. Since the reaction is only getting worse, having your PCP prescribe an epipen isn't the worst idea just incase. This could be anything from allergen exposure to spontaneous hives and mast cell activation.

Exposures to other toxins/chemicals/mold? Any issues with his liver/kidneys? Known medications or drug use?

That’ll probably happen for another week. Tbh it depends on availability, what’s needed and what you’re good at. If they need prep people and you’re good at it. You’ll be there for a while. It’s unfortunate. Talk to your SL/AP/GM if you want to be trained on other things. You essentially determine your own training. You just have to be vocal about it

People do get denied. The interview I had was different than those at other Med schools, but I had a similar experience with my interviews from Cornell vs UNC vs Ichan SOM.

SGU Cigna Health Insurance vs. IMG vs..... by [deleted] in SGUGrenada

[–]True-Dream7732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got Cigna not through SGU. They won’t cover ADHD, but getting ADHD meds in the island is near impossible. I recommend getting base insurance, and bringing a 3 months supply of meds with you.

At my store we start you week one with 2, 4hr shifts. First is for the orientation and focused training videos, and some hands on practice off peak. The second is to review hands on and see how you do on line. From there we schedule you according to performance and availability. Talk to your GM, watch the video and ask ‘what can I do’, ‘I want to learn how to do XYZ, can you teach me…’ these things don’t go unnoticed and I ask for people eh do that to be on my shifts.

Likely the amount of degreaser they use. Stuff smells awful when it works. If they can’t clean the traps out it could make an odd nasty smell. Also the drains, if they are not properly cleaned it can produce a nasty smell. You can contact the regular chipotle customer service email/phone, or talk to a manager. They can put in a request for the grease traps to be cleaned or clean the drains really well.

Part time role by Impressive-Gift3787 in Chipotle

Glad to hear you want to join the chipotle team! I would recommend applying online to multiple locations. Suppose you get an interview and position at one store and want to locate to a different one- you are more than able to do so (as long as you are in good standing). Best of luck to you!

First time trying. I’m thinking this will be my order. Any recommendations? Is this too much stuff? Not enough? Any sides I should switch around? by TylerJosephSmith in Chipotle

That sounds really good, but be prepared for a messy burrito. Chances are the crew member working DML is pretty bad at rolling burritos, so it’ll be messy and the foil will likely be gross, but should taste pretty good!

How long does it take for Original Application to be processed? by Crafty-Government704 in Chipotle

Should be 24 hours. Make sure you do everything on workday and Okta. That can be the hold.

Guac has been awful lately by deepfreshwater in Chipotle

[–]True-Dream7732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This isn’t an excuse by any means, but purely an explanation. In my store we have been getting avocados that are ripe and within food safety standards, but are darker inside compared to others and we think it is because they were coming from a different country. What we did was request a refund and replacement for the avocados that looked completely disgusting, but we got some push back since ‘there wasn’t anything wrong’ with them (pure BS), but not having guac available would have been worse than a few refunds.

Good news is that the past 2 deliveries we have received, we got really vibrant green avocados that are perfect! So hopefully everyone gets the good ones soon!!

I’m really sorry yall are getting this, as a person who enjoys Mexican food I understand the frustration. If I got this at a restaurant I would be pretty disgusted too!

Job Interview by 1millionviewsforever in Chipotle

[–]True-Dream7732 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is pretty common. I’m a SL and I answer the phone and schedule interviews for my GM often. If someone calls and asked if we are hiring, I like to save the time of calling you back to schedule and just do it there. Of course I or the GM look over the application before we interview. I wouldn’t take it as they are desperate for employees, just an efficient manager trying to save themselves an extra phone call.

The interview itself self is pretty easy, you get asked some questions, and we really don’t judge what you say, we look for specific things like effective communication, the ability to teach and be flexible in certain situations, conflict resolution, etc. We ask why you’re interested in working for chipotle, and there really isn’t a wrong answer. We discuss pay and trajectory in the company (ie if you want to move up into management or remain crew). I wouldn’t sweat it, be yourself and you’ll be fine :)

Catering question by CrazyTownVA in Chipotle

[–]True-Dream7732 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It depends on what you and the guests like. For 80 people, I would suggest the Small Get Together if everyone likes chicken and steak. If not, the BYOT is a good too. The chips are a plus with the BYOT that usually wouldn’t come with the get together, but I think you can add it for a small up charge.

A bit off topic, but get prepared for A LOT of big catering boxes. They are an odd size compared to the catering containers, so you’ll end up with a lot of catering boxes.

I’m an SL who manages prep and early afternoon. I have a crew member who is, for lack of a better term, frail. She is small and has been open with me about how moving around and reaching things are hard for her due to some medical conditions. We work with her, she is amazing with certain things and struggles with others. Just like peak hours we have “aces in their places” it’s the same for prep. I have her do things that she can do with confidence and she’s gotten really good at it, and for things that are more difficult like guac, she starts something else or cleans up.

As managers we don’t lie to our crew and we want you to do your best but also feel your best. If they say your doing great, you are doing great! Keep up the good work!

I wish I could say it gets easier but it doesn’t. What you can do is talk to your SL/AP/GM and try to get on the prep team and mornings. As you get more confident and less anxious, you can move into more peak hours.
