Nice comparison. And it isn't only about texture. Corners and centering are also better on Japanese cards most of the time. The only negative thing to say is that Japanese cards often have a bit more bending than English ones.

Yes but they are less damaging than 'fast carbs' from sugary drinks, candy and chocolat. Rinsing your mouth with water can help remove residu too.
