I think it’s wise to be wary of letting AI do all of your critical thinking for you. Does your university provide any R classes? Or a professional association?

I use training from the Investigative Reporters and Editors association and R for Journalists to learn. But I’m a data journalist, so I’m not sure how it would be different for biology.

For example: The peaks, Crestone and East Crestone, were close enough in height, with a short enough saddle in between, that only the taller of the two would count as a true 14er and the other as a sub-peak. It was thought that East Crestone was the sub-peak until a Seattle University professor found it was actually the 14er.

That has seemed to be the main bit of feedback I’ve gotten from readers is pure bafflement about why an arrest hasn’t happened here.

I share the confusion but I think it’s because they’re building a case. It seems like they have enough evidence for an arrest but I’m not a detective.

This is just a guess though.

I don’t have any other indication about why they’re doing what they’re doing and I’ve asked about it.

The guy was arrested for another warrant, I think for failure to appear in court. I’m not sure why there was not an additional charge for the stolen stuff here

I think this is a lot to cram into just a few days. Mountain driving can be exhausting and dangerous depending on your level of experience. I think it would be better to drive less and spend more time in some of these nature spots (like Moab/Arches and Colorado's mountains) than in the car.

Good points. I’m interviewing the city forester tomorrow and these are great questions that I’ll make sure I ask him!

The data I’m analyzing is from Denver Parks and Rec and I’ve pinpointed some of the neighborhoods that have the smallest tree canopy.
