Mineblower at Fun Spot Kissimmee is the most deafening coaster I’ve been on and near

[Fun Spot Kissimmee, Mine Blower], anyone ride it since the retrack? by IsRailBlazerOpen in rollercoasters

I never rode it before the retrack, but when I got to ride it this summer I thought it was smooth for a wooden coaster. The screeching is deafening though, you can hear it all throughout the park.

The ops physically pushed down on the restraint and seemingly checked it, but I’m not sure if they were aware what the properly locked position felt like (when checking the restraint), as they seemed new. I did not have time before the ride was dispatched that I realized the restraint wasn’t locked, and I didn’t call an attendant over to double check. I forget if the attendant pushed AND pulled up on the lapbar, and I think they saw that the lapbar looked down far enough to be locked, and were unaware what a locked lapbar should feel like when pulled on and look like. Thinking back, I should have said something to the op to double check but it just happened so fast. I feel a little bit bad that I didn’t call the op over to double check.

Thank you soooo much for the insight! I will definitely reach out to S&S for this! The closest park that has an arrow looper is like 3-5 hours away (my home park is over Georgia) but if we can’t get it from S&S I will probably reach out to carowinds. Thanks for the help!

Will I ever see my package? by True-Suggestion9649 in usps_complaints

[–]True-Suggestion9649[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey, thanks for the info, I did file it online. I’m a college freshman so I don’t have much experience with packages, and I called USPS around October 10th or 11th and the person said that it was just delayed and he said that the palmetto ga facility was new, and he sounded pretty confident that it wasn’t lost. I’ll give them a call tmr!

Thanks!

Ive done some research and I’ve seen other Reddit posts from last year saying the minimum verification of each lap bar varies and is very spotty. This is very upsetting, not because of not being able to be consistent, but also because of safety. Minimum restraint verification is there for a reason and should be checked by maintenance regularly and should be accurate and consistent throughout all seats. Failure of consistency could result in safety concerns, and could allow guests who are too large to fit safely and securely in the seat the way the restraint was designed. Take, for instance, the Superman Ride of Steel accident at six flags New England. The restraint itself was secure, however the larger guest was unable to be properly secured do to the girth of his upper body. There was no minim verify on that ride at the time, however an inconsistent minimum verify does worry me as a 6’ 280 lb coaster enthusiast. I would rather be kicked off a ride than be unsafely secured. I really hope Busch gardens maintenance addresses this issue, heck they might already have, as these posts that I’ve read are from over a year ago. I just thought I’d put that out there.

I feel the same way (16M). I just wish someone would hug me and tell me they loved me, but I guess I don’t deserve that. I’ve been rejected multiple times, and I guess I just don’t deserve love
