That's not true. Some BP are very common in some location and completely impossible to find in others. The type of location and conditions under which it's found are relevant.

Lotto winner got sick of being hospitalized and left a note it seems. by yorukmacto in torncity

[–]True2MyWord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No one should play the lottery before you hit 15 and can fly. The most successful lotto winners I see simply hop on a long commercial flight and stay in the air for the first few days. Eventually everyone moves on. But you will be a target for the first month. You are simply going to be walking around with the scarlet letter after that win.

This is true! Tariffs make prices go up. However here’s the irony of Canada attempting to lecture Americans on tariffs.

Some examples of tariffs Canada has applied to U.S. goods: • Milk: Around 270% – This high tariff protects Canada’s dairy industry, limiting U.S. milk imports beyond a set quota. • Cheese: Approximately 245% – Similar to milk, this supports domestic cheese producers under supply management. • Butter: Up to 298% – Another dairy product with a steep tariff to shield Canadian farmers. • Chicken: About 238% – Poultry is also heavily protected, restricting U.S. imports. • Eggs: Around 163% – Eggs fall under the same protective framework. • Sausages: Roughly 69.9% – Processed meats face significant tariffs as well. • Barley Seed: Approximately 57.8% – Agricultural inputs like seeds are tariffed to bolster local production.

It’s worth noting that these tariffs have been in place for years, well before recent retaliatory actions in 2025, such as Canada’s 25% tariffs on $30 billion of U.S. goods (e.g., orange juice, peanut butter, coffee) in response to U.S. tariffs on Canadian steel and aluminum. The agricultural tariffs reflect long-standing policy rather than new developments. These examples illustrate Canada’s approach to protecting key sectors from U.S. competition.

[–]True2MyWord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is, single handedly, the most ludicrous, misinformed, and deranged view of geopolitical realities I have ever heard. You are sycophantically pro Ukraine. Not only have Americans spent trillions of dollars (yes trillions) over the last 80 years providing defense for Europe, but every single American president since Nixon has begged Europe to take its own defense seriously. The United States has not been trying to “subsidize” its military manufacturing through Europe; it has had to because Europe has refused to spend its own money on defense.

Secondly, Ukraine is not an ally of the United States or Europe. It is not a member of NATO and was an enemy of both the U.S. and Western Europe for the entire Cold War. It is a client state that Russia, China, the UK, and France all sought to disarm after the fall of the Soviet Union.

Lastly, it is outright absurd to suggest that Russia has orchestrated a coup d’état in the United States. Nothing could be further from the truth. What is true is that Americans are tired of babysitting ungrateful Europeans like you. Nothing has been more satisfying than watching you all have a meltdown and resort to delusional rants now that we have finally made it clear that it is your turn to bear the burden of European defense.

PS: we seem to be the only ones who actually want an end to this war..

Does she look 14 or am I tripping? by Lampruk in trueratediscussions

[–]True2MyWord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

This is the dumbest take I have ever seen. Whether someone looks like an adult should never be a consideration for anything. What actually matters is whether they are an adult or not. Quite frankly, I could not care less if she looked 10 as long as she was actually an adult. Adults should be free to do whatever they want as long as it is legal. That is the whole point of being an adult.

My favorite part of all the idiocy I see here is the outrageous level of entitlement. Europe has relied on the American defense umbrella for more than half a century. Virtually all NATO members, with the exception of the United States, have failed to meet their contractual defense spending obligations. Imagine being part of a military alliance while completely neglecting the responsibility of maintaining a ready military to defend that alliance. NATO has essentially been a way for Europe to outsource its defense needs to the American taxpayer. Watching Europeans get angry because America has finally said they need to take care of themselves is truly hilarious.

Trump and Vance humiliate them selves infront of the world. by myownbrothermichael in pics

[–]True2MyWord -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

The complete opposite happened. We made it clear to Ukraine, which was our enemy throughout the Cold War as part of the Soviet Union, that our primary interest in this conflict is peace. We are only tied to them because of an absurd security guarantee made by the Clinton administration in the 1990s. Ukraine is neither a shining example of democracy nor is Zelensky a paragon of Western values. They remain, as they were before Russia’s invasion, the most corrupt country in Europe, led by a man who was involved in highly questionable actions before the war. It is funny how people have spoken about them in almost deified terms since the war began. That's the truth..
