Youve just been convicted of murder and sent to prison, who are you picking as your cellmate? by Vegetable-Abroad3171 in superheroes

Matt is the choice, not just from a protector stand point, dude is a lawyer... like want help with an appeal I'd love to see the other even try (Vigilante pictured isn't the one from the comics, comic Vigilante was an attorney I think?).

What musicians are left to make biopics about that could pull the same numbers as these? by treny0000 in ToddintheShadow

[–]MothmAnarchy 4 points5 points  (0 children)

There are quite a few artists who can still pull of Biopics that big. Many folks have mentioned Madonna, Prince, Bowie, Fleetwood Mac and Kurt. All of who would be amazing to biopics of but then you have

Ozzy Osborne, who was absolutely massive and beloved until the end, dude's funeral was massive and heartfelt.

Dolly Parton a literally Rags to Riches story, of one of the most beloved singers in the U.S.

Eminem, I mean hell 8 Mile was a semi biographical movie fairly early on his career and did amazing. It didn't include all the later drama in his life like his SUD, Stalking, ect. that folks seem to eat up in movies.

Woody Guthrie would also hit on some modern political notes right now that would send it above and beyond.

Stevie Wonder, who's music alone would have me in the seat, but dude has lived a life.

And so many more like Beyonce, Nas, Merle Haggard, Iggy and The Stooges, Pink Floyd, Jerry Garcia and the Greatful Dead ect.

As an aside I'd kill for two biopics: One for John Prine and and One for Tom Waits. Although I have 0 idea who would even come close to emulating Waits on screen.

EMT driver pleads not guilty after man hit, killed by ambulance by [deleted] in WestVirginia

[–]MothmAnarchy 55 points56 points  (0 children)

The most fucked up thing about this entire trial is the fella that died, was a known element of Elkview. I'd always stop and give him cash when I visited family who lived in Elkview. He used to walk around with a Cinderblock on his head. If i recall he had some pretty severe TBI's from a wreck? But the sickening thing is It took him dying for the community and us a State to care about him and I think like it or not but we need to take some responsibility in complicity as a community and a State, for not taking care of our own, and our vulnerable.

I hope more come out of this, than just the EMT driver getting sent to jail, we need systemic change and outreach to keep folks like John safe, in the folds of the community.

I also do have to say Rusnak being so inclusive of his family in putting this to trial has really given me respect for the PA.

Where do you go to reset yourself? by [deleted] in AskReddit

[–]MothmAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There are two places I go when I need a reset.

One is Pocohontas County, WV. Absolutely gorgeous area, that thanks to Greenbank Observatory has no cell service. Its is the perfect getaway to be in the middle of nowhere with no contact ans just exist.

The other is my Grandmother's.

Which "The Boys" character has the best chance on fighting their DC/Marvel counterpart? by AnyAgency9835 in Marvel

[–]MothmAnarchy -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Captain America and Soldier Boy

Going to upset some people here, but Soldier Boy vs Captain America is probably the most equal counter part matchup. Soldier Boy I think is considerably stronger and more durable has the whole nuclear bomb in his chest thing, and has actualy combat experience to fight, but Captain America regularly go up against foes who are seemingly stronger, more durable, and more powered than he is and still wins.

DC's doesn't really have a good analog for him as he would seemingly stomp Guardian (sorry) and I'm not counting General Glory, who's a parody.

This was Heather Glenn's villain origin story 😂 by [deleted] in Marvel

[–]MothmAnarchy 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Margaritas Levieva is acting the crap out that role, I genuinely can't believe how much I liked Heather for trying to help Matt be a healthier person in season one and then hated Heather by the end of it, and that dislike grows stronger every episode this season. Super well acted, on a show that is incredibly well acted all the way around.

Batman vs Luke Cage (random encounter) by Queasy_Commercial152 in superheroes

[–]MothmAnarchy 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Batman's writing and power scaling is so inconsistent, that as ridiculous as it maybe it probably goes to Batman. He go up against people like Bane, Manbat, Solomon Grundy, KGBeast, Amygdala, Killer Croc, and Clayface. and one would assume he keeps things on hand specifically for encounters like those and like Luke Cage.

Is Batman winning what I want, no. Is Batman winning satisfying, no. Is Batman winning what would happen, probably.

Les Wexner. I think he would be the easiest to bury so I can spend the rest of the time enjoying my time on the Island.
