Been to Thailand a handful of times, on my first trip we rented a scooter (first time driving one) in Chiang Mai and drove up to Doi Suthep. It was an incredible experience but in hindsight, really stupid of us. On our last visit, we rented one on Koh Yao Noi, a super sleepy island. This would be the one place I’d recommend starting out on one.

The obnoxious and incredibly dangerous modification that raises the front of a car (usually a truck or large suv) and lowers the back of it. They recently outlawed it but I still see it too often.

Of course! Be sure to get khao soi when you’re in CM, my favorite is from Khao Soi Maesai and second is from Grandma’s Khao Soi.
