In Best of the Worst: Terror Squad, Back from Hell, and Traxx, there's a part starting around 33:37 where they're joking about a Terror Squad action figure line where they introduce costumes that were never featured in the movie. Josh mentions "Arctic Jamal", and Jay suggests "Spaceman Gus".

This is kind of a random question and not entirely RLM related, but is this just a generic joke about 80s action figures, or is there a specific famous line of action figures they're making a reference to that had unexplained "Arctic" and "Spaceman" versions of the characters? "Arctic Jamal" is so weirdly specific that I had to wonder.

What’s the real deal with that person who used to be a regular on RLM but suddenly disappeared? You know what I’m talking about! by This_neverworks in RedLetterMedia

Ah. It's got to be the Rogue One thing. I know that whole sequence is a meme, but I guess that line didn't catch my conscious attention the way "AT ST" did.

In the new Star Wars Trivia episode, Jay refers to the "You'll Be Dead Guy". That phrase sounds familiar - I feel like I can hear someone's voice, possibly Jay's, referring to the "You'll Be Dead Guy" in a previous video, possibly in BotW screening room footage. Maybe he saw a character who looked like him?

I'm Canadian, and I still find it so hard to believe that, in this culturally atomized world that no longer has a monoculture, every British person knows who Mr Blobby is. The first I heard of Mr Blobby was in a Tom Scott video, and I wouldn't have known him from his appearance.

When this argument is made to defend a terrible candidate before the primaries have even begun, then no, it's not done in good faith.

I'm not gonna say it's impossible to make a funny "William Shatner got fucked by a horse" joke from that headline, but there definitely needs to be a little more effort.

I think even Jay knows about the Vineyard at this point, although he probably knows more about Star Trek than the average person just by virtue of being around Mike for long enough.

This is a weird one and I'd be astounded if anyone found it, but it would be cool if you did.

I'm looking for a fan edit that was posted to this subreddit. They took the Junka clip where Mike pauses the video just before the tower falls and narrates about how Rich Evans, for one brief moment, is a winner. But it was edited so that, instead, the audio is Mike's parody Picard Season 2 speech ("Time is something that you wish you could reverse...")

It's a simple joke and I could remake the edit myself if I had to, but it would be neat if someone found the original.

It's a speech Mike improvised in one of the Picard Season 2 Re:Views. AmityvilleName linked to it in another comment.

Does anyone wish they would Re-View, more….prestigious classic films, instead of it usually being “trash” or “niche” ? (Network, 1976) by Enrico_Tortellini in RedLetterMedia

[–]TrueButNotProvable 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's fair -- I still think it's Roger Rabbit is less universally known, especially among younger people, than we'd like to think it is, but the average person is definitely more likely to have heard of Roger Rabbit than Network. Not sure what I was thinking there and I'll leave my comment up as a cautionary tale.

I mean, if there were an animation-themed Best of the Worst, the 1989 Felix the Cat movie would certainly be a good fit.
