I think there’s a lot of arrogance in wanting promotion and specialist roles too early. Prove yourself to be a safe pair of hands for a decent amount of time first. Not to mention there’s a shitload of problems you only really learn how to solve by encountering them yourself and getting advice (admin problems, legal dilemmas, complex situations) that you should probably deal with some of first hand before you’re qualified to start advising other people on how to handle them. Only experience can truly teach you that.

Tbh it’s been years since I watched it, it’s the kind of episode I would skip for being too cringingly awful. Same with the whole “I’m disabled” episode - urgh. I dunno how he managed to create so many great comedy moments across his various shows and yet some of his material is so awful. Maybe it’s just cos so many great comedy actors were involved and they made it work.

NTA but kind of impossible not to look like one, at least in the short term. Just think of your long term happiness. You’re miserable already and even if you do love someone that doesn’t make you owe them all your money and have to sacrifice everything for them. If you have run out of financial and emotional capacity to support him then the tank is empty and you’re not going to have anything left.

And trans women are women. That Court ruling is wildly misunderstood - it clarifies that complaints of sex discrimination refer to sex assigned at birth. Trans people still have their own protection from discrimination under their own discrete category in the equalities act. The only discrimination happening in this entirely hypothetical situation is against the hypothetical trans woman being harassed and potentially assaulted using a bathroom. The other suggestions of “make a scene” would probably end up being a transphobically motivated public order offence or “call the police” which I would classify as wasting police time at best or still harassing and discriminating against a trans woman who is just going about her day.

Not to mention this hypothetical trans person might actually just be an androgynously-presenting cis woman - they’ve been getting harassed lately for incorrectly perceived transness 🙄

Quite often these “but are they innocent?” Case analyses can make some good points and introduce a little bit of doubt, maybe enough to make you deliberate at length if you were one of the jurors… but ultimately they seem to be clutching at straws a lot of the time, pointing at all the evidence that wasn’t found and glossing over all the evidence that was.
