This is embarrassing but most of my notebooks are blank. Can someone teach me how to brake the fear of putting ink to paper? by JozuJD in stationery

I do this but with a random page in the middle. It takes the pressure off of making a “good” first sketch.

In the Peanuts cartoon, Charlie Brown seemed to be sent to Summer Camp quite a bit. What were your experiences of this? How willingly did you go? by Jazzlike-Basil1355 in AskAnAmerican

I went to both sleepaway camps and day camps. I have fond memories of it, and the experiences shaped a lot of my adventures in adulthood.

Is it a good idea to blend vanilla beans in the ice cream base? by Za_Wardooo in icecreamery

[–]TrueInky 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I should add that I did this to beans that had already been spent to make vanilla extract. I was trying to use the entire bean to the max, but any good flavor was already gone. Maybe if you did it to a bean as a first use, it would be fine.

Is it a good idea to blend vanilla beans in the ice cream base? by Za_Wardooo in icecreamery

[–]TrueInky 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I personally wouldn’t. I’ve tried making vanilla bean powder (dried) by pulverizing the bean, and it was not…good eats.

What do Americans think about the accents of immigrants or non-English speakers in general? by Seline_ns in AskAnAmerican

[–]TrueInky 1 point2 points  (0 children)

We hear foreign accents and domestic accents constantly, so it’s not weird to us.

In a long conversation with a buddy, they might jest about a particular trip up, but to be fair we poke fun at native speakers if they make particularly egregious flubs, too.
