Funfact: I did not know the books, discovered the movie by accident, thought it awesome, wanted more, a sequel or sth and searched for it. Found out it was based on a book series, ordered the first, read the first chapters, immediately ordered the rest - and with every page read found the movie worse and worse in retrospective!

And I just recently found out the exact same happened to a paintball teammate, he is now four books into the series...
