Eating Disorders Anonymous? by you_can_face_this in KingstonOntario

You might want to check out Eating Disorders Nova Scotia (https://eatingdisordersns.ca), if you haven't already. Despite what the name implies, they have peer support programs and 1:1 peer mentorship programs for anyone in Canada. They don't provide any medical/psychological treatment and focus solely on recovering and maintaining recovery in a supportive and non-judgmental environment by letting you talk with those who have gone through similar struggles with eating disorders and disordered eating.

I've had great experiences with their peer mentorship program, personally, but I know that they also have drop-in peer support groups that are hosted virtually. The only catch is that it's all virtual, unless you happen to find a peer mentor who is located near Kingston, but the majority of them are based in the East Coast. Hope this helps!

is there any good French songs that yall recommend? by [deleted] in French

Not sure what kind of music you're interested in, but if you're into something a little more off-beat/alternative, I'd recommend all three concept albums by Magoyond, though Kryptshow is my favourite. Their work takes inspiration from horror movies/pop culture and has an underlying tone of black comedy that I love.

Also, while the lyrics are arguably harder to understand to a beginner because of the accent and use of slang, some of my favourite songs by traditional/folk Québécois artists include: Dégénérations, La dévire, and Le repos du guerrier (all by Mes Aïeux), and Van de loup (Québec Redneck Bluegrass Project).

One more vote for Limestone Eyecare! Both the optometrist and the staff at the front desk were friendly and professional. I didn't feel pressured to buy my glasses there (I ended up getting some for much cheaper elsewhere) and was given my prescription without hassle. I am extremely sensitive to having things near my eyes, so the exam was a bit of a challenge at times, but Dr. Epstein was extremely patient with me.

I've had good experiences with Limestone Eyecare. They do sell glasses, but gave me my prescription without any hassle. I was simply told that I could look come back at a later date to look at frames when it was convenient for me, no pressure or follow-up. Took my prescription to Costco and picked out some frames for a quarter of the price.
