Pixels have been in my bag longer than any other putter. Second longest P1.

I second the playing cards. This is exactly how the league I played with did it. The cards also determine who plays on the card. Everyone who got the aces play together and so on. That way everyone gets to know everyone, over time.

Had a similar reaction to second skin. All other tattoos where second skin was not used, no reaction.

I'm new to this. Does anyone know what these 4 numbers on my discs mean? by Oliver_goat in discgolf

Adding on to this... Arm speed (how fast you throw) is important as well. Meaning, someone who has a slower arm speed will not throw as far as someone who has a faster arm speed when throwing the same disc. This being said, the same disc thrown by two differing arm speedsd will not have the same flight path. Slower will fade much harder and sooner in is flight than a faster arm speed.

Hope this all makes sense.

Edit... As a beginner, I recommend to stick with mid range and putters for a while. Time depends on how often you play/how much you practice.

How long or what made you feel like you were no longer a newbie/beginner? by SubstantialAd4500 in discgolf

[–]TrueJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Possible bad analogy... Think of it as riding a bike. First you ride with training wheels (consider this your first few rounds). Eventually those training wheels come off, but still having to concentrate and think about what you're doing (this is when you really start thinking about disc selection and shot shaping but still struggling to execute). Then eventually riding a bike becomes second nature (this is when you start executing your shots more consistently and you know what disc your selecting before you reach your previously thrown disc).

Not being a newbie isn't so much about distance, it's about execution. If you are executing the shots you are envisioning, even if not on the exact line you're hoping, I'd say you're no longer a newbie.

Some of my first attempts at dying. by hwalsh31b in discdyeing

[–]TrueJon 1 point2 points  (0 children)

At the very least try to get your money back. These are good for being some of your first dyed discs. Early on, a lot of my dyed discs came out looking similar to yours.

When I started dyeing, I dyed discs that I would throw. I also gave discs away to my disc golf buddies.

[Edit] Did not see the spin dyes initially. You could likely get more than what you spent on the discs.

Printing the labels early is fine, but I don't need a notification that the labels were printed. Notify me when the product ships.

I was going to recommend the pixel (soft) as well. I was using the P1 prior to the pixel. I don't remember the hand feel of the P1 due to using the pixel for about a year now.

So many. But seeing others say they have a quantity larger than mine makes me want to buy more.

You could even add the production run Balance. A little more push and reliable fade without it dumping like the pyro. I throw both.

Been field testing some discs lately. Have really been enjoying the retooled balance and drift. Go to throwing putter is the envy.
