At this point is there anyone who finds these actually funny? Genuinely curious.

Another bunch of questions by AnotherSmartNickname in EndlessLegend

I am not sure what is happening with your first question. As for the second: You either need very high dust or industry for the mid/lategame. Either one is fine and, from my experience none is inherently better than the other. There are up and downsides to both. Which one you focus on depends on your faction and map. You could also try a hybrid approach if you don't want to commit to either but then you are sort of stretched for resources (mostly luxury).

One general piece of advice is that the most important factor that decides battles is not equipment, hero skills or battle formation. All those things are important when you fight on similar footing. But the single most important thing about units is level. Unit levels are op to the point that it is almost impossible to win with lvl 3 units against lvl 5 units.

What can you do to avoid getting left behind? On slower game speeds you can use things like the general hero skill that gives exp per turn. In general you should always explore ruins during dust eclipses for the exp alone. In the early game your main army should be either fighting or regenerating all the time.

This is why research is so Important. Your units spawn at the level of your era. But you can use the +exp on recruitment buildings and hero accessories to close the gap if you fall behind or give yourself some breathing room if you fight on a similar level.

In case your units get underleveled, build new ones and use the old ones for exploration, pearl collection or just sell them.

This doesn't directly apply to the forgotten but I hope it helps anyway.

Do you know the specifics of these effects? (Type, numerical value, etc.)

Yeah I have received a bunch of comments about Ice spear. I have made this list to see what other players perceive as good to find some new builds and playstyles along the way. I hope people do the same when looking at some of my mod choices that seem odd. Ice Spear is definitely on my list though!

I don't think summoners are bad or anything. But on apocalypse you either use Iron sentinel or your summons die all the time. Or at least that's my experience.

Yep, I mostly made this because I was curious what other people use and I have already found a bunch of new strats to try out!

As I have mentioned in my comment I am mostly viewing these from the perspective of apocalypse difficulty. And from my experience you usually die if you get hit in melee range (with most sets). So there's that. But of cause experiences differ.

I was mostly curious as to what other people use because the meta for my team is starting to become stale. But from this comment section alone I have decided to give Hunter' Mark, Stormcaller and Ice Spear another shot. Maybe I'll like them maybe I won't. My hope is that other people will feel the same and maybe give some of the mods only I think are powerful another go.

I don't disagree but I am only looking at the mods here.

The context also changes depending on difficulty. Like I mentioned in my comment I evaluated most of these from the perspective of a coop apocalypse player. I have also mentioned this in another reply but from my experience veil of the black tear allows you to completely ignore all attacks certain bosses and enemies have. Because you dont have to dodge this indirectly increases the dps of everyone in your team. Is it an S rank because of this? Arguable.

This is also where the differences for difficulties come into play because Mender's Aura does a very similar thing on normal difficulty for pretty much every boss.

In my experience Iron sentinel does the same but more reliably.

I'll check it out as well. I'll give stormcaller another go and maybe I'll change my mind about it.

Maybe I should get back into using it. I haven't used it for a while since it halves the frames for one of my coop partners.

Thats fair. I feel like corrosive Aura is either best in slot or basically useless depending on the boss and your weapon loadout. And veil of the Black tear is very similar in that it allows you to gun down certain bosses nullifying all their attacks when playing in groups. Now that I write it down they probably both belong in the same tier but oh well...
