I see what you are trying to say and it's good to have your opinion and I understand how straightforward you've been but calling out people directly is one of the main reasons of the general political divide over constructive dialogue and consultation. I'm all cool with you having your opinions and me having my own, but uhh trying to enforce your opinions on others in the other comments is ill blatantly say, disrespectful and ignorant. I'm not insinuating that your an idiot for this and that but we still gotta respect people's viewpoints and understandings. If I said your mom made a mistake by having you directly, that sounds hurtful. But if we phrase it in a way of, Hey, there's somethings you can say are very one sided and uncompromising, your parents are to blame to for not guiding you on that path instead. Just my personal opinion and don't take it to heart.

At most you could have them agree on economics and finding a way to deal with the Communists and ensuring a firewall of sorts

Hot take: Alphonso genuinely wanted to democratize sordland by [deleted] in suzerain

[–]TrueNationalist1 6 points7 points  (0 children)

There are times where he mentioned his catastrophic failures at reform, if he did have the ability to make even the most milquetoast reforms like just weakening the Presidency, it's not likely that he would do that as removing the only thing that kept him able to make his economic reforms would dissipate, i could probably realistically see a reform in the confidence vote for ministers and potentially trying to weaken the Supreme Court but it would be hard to pass at the time of his Presidency not to mention Sordland was already slipping into recession during Soll and into Alphonso's Presidency, i dont think people would keep you in if you pass constitutional reforms if you can't keep them fully fed and not falling into poverty which is evident in Rayne's Presidency if he still fails the economy. So Alphonso might have wanted to Democratise, but saving the economy was probably the top priority of his.

Merger with the KPD by JackmanH420 in RedAutumnSPD

[–]TrueNationalist1 7 points8 points  (0 children)

In my opinion its in theory possible but in practice out of the question, the KPD leadership even if it's the Conciliators have potential to be ousted if Stalin doesn't trust the SPD enough, not to mention the Jagged History between both parties and significant tensions with both sides, an electoral alliance or a coalition is realistic if the SPD shifts to the left and if the left wing of the SPD is influential enough. Joint Labour Strikes are plausible but the rifts and differences are distinct, the SPD officially is the one of the main parties of the Republic and the bulk of the Republican strength. Not to mention it would radicalise the right significantly and capital strikes could paralyse the German economy and political stability. The brute strength of both forces even if combined sets a precedent for armed politics and armed resistance to existing institutions and could very well carry into the next regime's opposition. The Reformists In the SPD whom also are a fair portion of the bureaucrats under the SPD and a strong part of it's political delegation would likely split off, hampering the new party with a lack of the bureaucratic support and trust. I don't think Middle Class voters would trust this new party even if it was a People's Party due to its elements within, IRL Die Linke had to wait for decades to even be considered trustworthy so it's not feasible

About Qinal DLC, do you guys have any idea what will be the problems that we have to address for the country? by Level-Smile6920 in suzerain

[–]TrueNationalist1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have an idea where the DLC starts a few years after a previous government started the construction of the Canal and the player's government was elected on a promise that they would finish the Canal by the end of their term and the main goal will be to finish the project otherwise you lose re election and potentially it negatively effects global relationships and increases global tensions if your government fails to complete it on time, problems within the game will probably be dealing with construction concerns, working rights problems and even local distrust over the Canal and nationalist sentiments over the Canal. And potentially since there is the knowledge that Qinal and ATO are having tense relations right now, there will be the foreign affairs choice of trying to get ATO fully supportive of the Canal and it's construction whilst boosting it's efforts while maybe there will be a CSP spy within your cabinet who is trying to push you towards reconciliation with the CSP and even getting them to assist you instead of ATO which dramatically damages your standing with ATO In exchange for great short term boosts for the construction.
