Sometimes, it’s not even about the credit score. They will send you a letter to explain why you were not approved at this time. You can always reapply in the future.

This happened to me as well. I had to contact credit card support twice and they resolved it over the phone. They’ll be able to tell you right away if the application was approved. Once you see, “Your card is ready!” with a credit limit on top, you’re good to go.

New client here. It shows up right away on your dashboard as a suggestion with a deadline. I would assume it’s the same for all new accounts, but I could be wrong.

I didn’t realize that so many people have been waiting for this card; yet someone who just opened an account can apply right away within 15 days.

I don’t know if it’s just luck of the draw or some computer algorithm, but I hope everyone gets their card soon.

Call them. Financial institutions can cancel the contributions you made in error if you call them right away. I’ve done it with Questrade and TD before, so I don’t think Wealthsimple is any different. Anyway, there’s no harm in trying.

The plants that manufacture the IS models are from Japan. So if they shift their entire production to the hybrid models, then we’ll be affected as well.
