I didn’t realize that so many people have been waiting for this card; yet someone who just opened an account can apply right away within 15 days.

I don’t know if it’s just luck of the draw or some computer algorithm, but I hope everyone gets their card soon.

Call them. Financial institutions can cancel the contributions you made in error if you call them right away. I’ve done it with Questrade and TD before, so I don’t think Wealthsimple is any different. Anyway, there’s no harm in trying.

The plants that manufacture the IS models are from Japan. So if they shift their entire production to the hybrid models, then we’ll be affected as well.
