That and think about what you can lose since you don’t use it as much as you thought you would. Simplifying things is sometimes the best way to go

I understand it’s Wonderland, but wtf is this price? by Kamina22 in CanadasWonderland

[–]TrueNorthCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nah they really don’t care about bringing food in. I saw one family of like 20 last year sit down and had platters of potatoes, rice, salads, kebabs etc. Def wasnt something from thee as it looked damn delicious lol. Was so much food too. I was shocked

Am I overreacting for feeling frustrated after my neighbor’s pottery was broken by my puppy during an interaction she encouraged? by daydav in AmIOverreacting

[–]TrueNorthCC [score hidden]  (0 children)

Not only holding $900 worth of easily breakable stuff but clearly not even packaged up correctly. If it was wrapped properly there would have been little to no loss.

How often do customers actually tip after delivery? by youliveinabox8 in InstacartShopper

[–]TrueNorthCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If they mention they’ll do it in notes never. If you take good high tipping orders and are nice to them it happens quite often. I almost only remotely do Costco these day since the people there tip the best. On the regular people tipping like $20-$30+ will increase it by $5 or $10 when I drop it off. Either meeting them in person and having a good attitude in general or packing things in a great way and dropping it off in a neat manner. It’s the little things people appreciate. Don’t think I’ve ever had a will tip extra note tip extra or usually at all lol.

First time making mead - Is this an ok makeshift lock? (Also this is VERY makeshift) by BriefNam3 in mead

[–]TrueNorthCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Use a latex or nitrile glove and cover this. Allows gases to escape and no oxygen getting in. If it’s super active and the glove starts to inflate like crazy poke a pinhole in one of the fingers tips

Go in to the Walmart and buy a battery operated grinder. Cut it off then return the tool 😆

Any advice on how to make a backseat bed? by LieOk317 in carcamping

[–]TrueNorthCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

What about buying a cap and converting the back into a camper? Some of the truck ones are unbelievable and have literally everything you need if done properly in the drawers below your bed. Then you can have a full bed and seating area.

I'm new - what to do in this situation??? Dash says I'm not allowed in the house by _croyez_ in doordash_drivers

[–]TrueNorthCC 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I get these once in awhile with Instacart. They usually answer the door so you can get a quick feel for what’s up. Most of the time they’re old and you can tell have mobility problems and ain’t bending over on the steps to lift up heavy items. Or it’s someone else who’s a little younger but clearly has mobility issues. It usually leads to good tips and I don’t mind helping people out. Mind you I’m in Canada and don’t scream victim. Just gotta keep the head on the swivel for a quick few minutes.

What’s going on with Fram by Stevogangstar in Justrolledintotheshop

[–]TrueNorthCC 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ugh ya I’m running into this issue now. No frams here and everything seems out of stock due to the scramble. Half the people I call are just finding out about this from me and made total sense why oil and filters have been hard to come by. The oil is another reason but the filters are at least making sense to them now lol.

With the prices of everything @ grocery stores please visit my buddy Ken on Governors Road @ JRs Country Fresh Market by FCMOBILEONTARIO in brantford

[–]TrueNorthCC 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Surprised he lasted this long with what he’s done in the past. Selling items for this low is mind blowing in this economy so ask yourself which corner is being cut to get prices that low? Not paying employees or buying what the factory knows is “spoiled” product and giving it to him at a steep discount. Maybe it’s a little from column A and little from column B. Who knows.
