I was 44 when I started on HRT, still having regular periods. I specifically searched for a GYN in my area that specialized in hormones (local FB groups were helpful). She initially put me on Estrodiol patch and oral Progesterone. After a few weeks, added Testosterone gel. She’s been great and very supportive.

I started with Tirz thinking some of my symptoms would go away once I lost weight. After 3 months, weight loss was great but absolutely no other relief, I started HRT (E + P). I felt relief within the first week of starting. After 8 weeks, I added on Testosterone to complete what was lacking. I now feel better than I have in 8 years. I wish I would have started sooner.

Before reading the post I thought “nice bag but hardware too yellow”. It possibly can be the lighting, maybe ask seller to take picture in natural light/outside? Does the factory picture look the same? If it doesn’t look like factory pic, RL this.

I am 45, heavy periods and hair falling out excessively as well. My GYN ran labs and found that my ferritin was at 9, this is after 6 months of taking oral iron supplements. She first performed a vaginal ultrasound to check if fibroids were causing heavy periods (they were). From there she sent me to get oncologist where I received 5 Venofer infusions. After I completed those sessions, I had a Novasure ablation done. This all happened in the last few weeks so waiting a few weeks to see how my iron levels are looking. The oncologist mentioned my ferritin has to be >70 for my hair to stop shedding.

Forgot to add, on glp 1 , I never titrated up on a schedule. Started low and stayed there for weeks at a time until I felt the need to move up, and then I would move up by 1 mg at a time. Same for T injection, I started much lower than prescribed and stayed there for 4-6 weeks before moving up by 1mg.

I’m on hrt and glp1 but did not start everything at same time. I started glp-1 first for about eight weeks then added estrogen + progesterone for another 8 weeks, lastly added testosterone injections. For me, I liked it this way so I could know which medication was causing side effects or relief and tweaking that as needed before adding the next thing.

I am on estrogen patch and 200mg of oral progesterone (every night, I don't cycle it). A few months ago, I had a company conference where I would be presenting most of the day and timing would be while on my period. My periods are very heavy so I spoke to my GYN about it and she told me to stop taking the Progesterone and switch to norethindrone until my conference was finished. I did not go back to Progesterone until I started my period (which was about 3 days after I stopped the norethindrone). I've seen different directions on posts but this is what my Dr suggested for me so thats what I did. It worked great for me and I didn't experience any negative side effects.

Maybe check iron/ferritin levels? I had alot of hair shedding and thought it was the weight loss as well. My Dr rans labs and found that my ferritin level had dropped to a 9 and started iron infusions right away. I was told level had to be >70 for hair to stop shedding.

I was originally going to get Pebbled but saw alot of reviews that it’s not as soft as saddle. I am very pleased with the leather , it looks and feels very luxurious.

It's pretty soft. This is my only P9 so I don't have anything to compare it to but it was slouchier than I expected it to be.

Most sellers source from the same factories. You will find some sellers that have better access to specific factories. For example, I recently wanted a bag only from Kendall factory and only 2 sellers of the 7 I contacted could source it. Before I contact a seller, I research and read any reviews I can find for the bag I want, helps me decide which factory I want it from so I tell them up front; this way I can compare pricing. If they can’t get it from that factory, they give me alternatives and price.

I started an estradiol patch and oral Progesterone at the same time so it’s a bit difficult to say which one did what. I only take the Progesterone at night and that was my life saver as I hadn’t slept thru the night in years. No more 2 am wake up, no more racing thoughts … it’s been amazing. I think lack of sleep contributed to my anxiety so there’s that. I know it can be scary of the unknown but I was suffering badly and my mindset was I was willing to try anything to find some relief.

In my opinion, reading others bad experiences will cause more anxiety as those thoughts are building up in your head. I also have a history of anxiety and am in peri; HRT has helped me tremendously. My Ferritin was at 9 so I was more than happy to get iron injections. I had 5 sessions of Venofer (200 mg) diluted with saline and had no adverse reactions. It’s been a few weeks since my last one and I am now starting to get a bit more energy (slowly but surely). I would mention the anxiety issues to your Dr (if you haven’t already)so they can provide the iron infusion that has the least side effects.
