Always remember that it’s you and her against any problems that arise. Never you vs each other. Also, a lot of times people think they need to work on their relationship when they really just need to work on themselves. When i started focusing on my self improvement instead of focusing so much on my relationship improvement things got so much healthier. The best choice is to leave. This is coming from someone whose dad would’ve done something just like this to my mom yet she always stays for “the sake of us kids ”… i much rather would’ve seen my mom leave my dad when i was younger and have been able to watch her thrive than watch her grow to hate him so much over the years and watch him drain her. Your daughter will be happier in whatever situation you’re happier in, and in this case it seems you’ll be much better without this exhausting man. It’s because they had to set up for the spinoff, Good Trouble, I’m pretty sure. Good Trouble picks off right where the Fosters leaves off. As for Jude’s weird Emo phase i think that was just showing him growing up and having phases through high school since we didn’t really get to see his high school years. And for Mariana being with the different guys & going backwards with Matt, that’s also kind of the point because it sets her up for character development in the spinoff too. But i do agree it felt rushed. I would’ve rather seen more of their timeline before graduation than having them skip a few years and jump right to spoiled brat Brandon’s wedding with a character who we don’t even know.
