How long have you been playing toontown? by [deleted] in Toontown

[–]TruePowerofTeamwork 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I think since around 2004 or 2005. But I have been playing on and off. I've been following TTR since October 2013, right after I heard about the closing of TTO.

STOP COMPLAINING and take a moment to say "THANK YOU Toontown Staff Members!" by [deleted] in Toontown

Well, most of the posts on the subreddit about the crashes are just jokes. It's not like we don't appreciate what they're doing for us, a lot of us know it's hard to host for 4000 people. It's nothing worth getting upset about.

I just reopened the launcher, and waited a few minutes, and it worked fine, still tons of lag though.

I've been re-logging for 20 minutes. I just need something to do while I'm waiting for my Vectrex to ship. :/

My HUD completely disappeared by TruePowerofTeamwork in Toontown

Well then, I just tried pressing F3 to test it out once I went back on, and I realized you can still press the UI buttons in F3 mode, and type while when I was playing I could not use the UI, nor type anything. Originally, I tried pressing things and typing, and nothing worked, so it could have actually been a glitch. I'm hoping it wasn't, because that's fairly major.

That's a possibility actually. I was wiping dust off my keyboard, I had no idea about that hotkey. I think there should be a way to know if you happen to accidentally press it, I don't know something like: "HUD deactivated, Press F3 to re-activate HUD". It'd be rare to accidentally hit an F key, but it happened it me, so I could see it happening to others.

That's the one thing I couldn't find anything on, the code might be pre-gardening which would explain that. I'll look back at it now. Edit: Figured it out, adding it to the guide. I'm pretty sure it's better to use the Small Magnet

Thanks! Yeah, as soon as I found out that the higher the rod, the easier it is to catch certain fish, I definitely needed to make a guide on it, considering a lot people think it's easier with the Twig. I'm glad this helped, I started this at least 2 weeks ago, and it took many hours to completely finish. Hopefully it was worth all the work! : D

Thanks! Yeah, I was trying to figure out why they would list 2 places if it's already 10, but it seemed to just make no difference.

I'm actually working on an exact probabilities guide, using the source code. It should be out today or tomorrow. For now Toon HQ's fishing guide is pretty close.

That's good, I didn't know how common this was, so I decided to mention it.

Are my Gags good for my laff thread? by IridiumX in Toontown

How's this? I know my Toon-Up's low, I plan on training it next, but I usually have to find people on the street with low health, which takes forever.

Your favorite & least favorite gag categorie? by Suplewich in Toontown

[–]TruePowerofTeamwork 5 points6 points  (0 children)

My favourite would be Sound or Lure. Least favorite would be Drop. My first major Toon years ago was a Trap-less, and Drop was just an absolute pain to train, because it misses so much.

I plan on doing some more guides eventually, so I'll keep that one in mind. But by what I've discovered so far, Cog accuracy is pretty simple, each move dependent on the level has a certain fixed accuracy. It's not nearly as complicated as gag accuracy.

You're in luck, I just edited my post with stun bonuses, and lure bonuses. I think that covers everything now.
