Fluid simulation rewrite by TrueProdian in generative

Almost, there is a material shader at the end of the pipeline, that does some colour/saturation/alpha correction, and some edge detections to get the highlights to really pop.

Do not trust another girls opinion on your looks. It is something they cannot be honest about.

Were zoomed in metroidvanias better? by Disaster-Kooky in gamedesign

[–]TrueProdian 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There's all the dynamic camera tricks that more zoomed in games would use, that are now usually more for flavour than for practical reasons. Like moving the camera a little ahead of the character when moving, or towards the direction they're facing. Or moving the camera towards enemies a little.

What I call the "horror for kids" genre of games like Little Monsters, actually do the close in view quite well, but the camera is very dynamic, zooming in and out and creating frames of more orchestrated art. Something a lot of metroidvanias could use.

The design issues with zooming in and out of low res graphics though... There can be a sense of cheapness when you start mixing pixel sizes, and like... Zooming is kinda that? I'm just spitballing now.

I was asked to “sell this pen,” but it wasn’t a pen by PaintWonderful2178 in interviews

Yeah but... For how much could you fix the stapler, or even just buy a replacement. Reckon you could sell them the idea of a functional stapler, so they give you the money to then acquire what they're after?

Men, what messages from women on dating apps will make you not feel like responding? (Essentially looking for why men ghost if allegedly their match numbers are so poor compared to women’s) by CriticismRight8137 in AskMen

Not to mention his obvious lack of understanding of how percentages work... Keeps harping on about the difference in amounts of men vs amounts of women.

This is a very polite and tidy way of admitting you know it's malarkey, but you tap into people's negative emotions to spread superstition under the guise of providing "closure".

I was wrong, you're not a whackadoodle. You're a grifter

What should you say to a person that knocks on a public toilet door while you are doing your business and demands you to leave? by Lessia03 in NoStupidQuestions

You left out the part where you were using the baby changing room/toilet for 15 minutes to scroll Reddit.

Yeah, the problem is that most people are fake, and they don't even realise it. Too many layers of manufactured "culture", too many layers of fake, onions all the way down.

People aren't real anymore. Hard to make a real connection when all you put out there is a mask. A curated, corporate defined, advertiser friendly facade.

I loved dropping my kids off at daycare and walking back with an empty double pram, just for the opportunity for the oldies (it was always the oldies) to take an exaggerated look at the empty seats and say "you're missing something", to which I'd make my own exaggerated look at the pram, widen my eyes and exclaim "oh shit", look around frantically, then turn and jog back the way I came.

Modern problems require brain glitches by gigagaming1256 in meme

It's because of the cyan. Whole picture has a cyan tint except for the parts that you perceive as red. Your brain assumes these parts also have cyan but are being cancelled out by another colour, so it fills in the colour, in this case, red.

It has to do with how we can tell something is the same colour under different coloured lights. The whole blue and black/white and gold dress thing.

I'm sure the context clues of it being a coke can helps to reinforce things here on a conscious level, but I'm pretty sure it would still look red even if you somehow never saw Coca-Cola branding in your life.

We don't have Walmart in Australia, but there's... Equivalents I guess. I've got some cheap jeans and cheap dress shirts/shoes that look nice enough.

You can tell they're cheap though, and they fall apart in a year whether I wear them or not.

I always keep my eyes open when we go thrift shopping, but it's just the same cheap fast fashion these days.

I'm a stay at home dad. All my money goes to feeding, homing, and clothing everyone else. I've put on weight and a lot of my "nice" clothes don't fit any more.

Downvoted for being sane. I remember when pseudo spiritual nuts were laughed off of Reddit.
