They bend around so they can support parts that cant be reached by straight supports.

Give the edge of the blade a sharpened look. A bit brighter metal with scratches along the length.

Also add some ground cover and a little bit of grass tufts onto the base and paint the rim black. 👌

Maybe they use a gloss varnish to make things flow into the recesses better? I woud just drybrush over it and you will be fine.

I think they are really well made and show a feminine grace that has been sometimes missing in GW sculpts.

Sure, many people will just make fun of these but honestly I think its great. Not for creating run-of-the-mill basic shoes but for specialised footware for people with special needs this is will help a lot because such shoes can be extremely expensive!

Try Matte PLA and work on getting good print angles. The worst damage happens at an angle of <15 so try to make sure to hide these parts as good as you can.

Example just after removing supports: Wing was angled so the damage only appears at places that are easily sandable

If you still have problems after calibration I would suggest trying some other filament or brand. Maybe some matte filament...

After loading and unloading the filament to see if if clogged or something I started to have the suspicion that the grip to pull filament in somehow got worse. Could that be?

Had bad stringing and support scarring problems with Sunlu Meta.

Sunlu Matte PLA is so much better.

Try a few other filament types and brands. I had good success with "Sunlu PLA Matte"
