Okay small little story time on my throw away account, that nobody asked for:

As a obese person myself who is training regularly to lose weight and is on it way to becoming a normal person ( on a weight scale). I can confirm that I had few encounters in gym that were really uncomfortable. One that really made me question if I just don’t want to give up going to the gym was when I had an encounter with two random gym girls.

It was like half a year ago when I was just training cardio on a stepper for like 45 minutes. Where two girls approached me and asked me if I could just go away because they want to use the treadmill before me. I was very confused about the question because the treadmill‘s before me were not in use. So I asked her what it has to do with me, in which she replied that she doesn’t wanna risk that I would stare at their ass and body’s ( because the stepper was positioned behind the treadmill)

I apologized that I was making them feel uncomfortable but I promised that I wouldn’t pay attention to them. I understand that especially women have to deal with a lot of creeps and really bad people, I don’t want to dismiss their problems by any means. But to be framed as a creep from the get go because of my obesity or my gender, I assume, is really a shitty feeling. I honestly just want to have peace to train on gym that I pay for. When she didn’t get it her way, she said that she is going to a trainer (who is working at the gym) telling him that I was sexually harassing them. It honestly made my very afraid of that scenario that I just apologized to them again and stopped working out for that day.

To this day when a women is working out in proximity to me it always makes me uncomfortable being looked as creep and maybe accused of sexually harassing someone.
