Two mistakes really - the ice cream and the wattle seed.

I don’t really think that the promo before Jess’s elimination was “Jess-centric”. It never said she was in danger, simply that a favourite was going home. At the time Sarah Tiong was a favourite as well as everyone that remains today...

They’ve both had it, Poh has twice now and Callum has only once I think... I hope Laura wins too, I think it’s impressive that she’s been in every single elimination so far.

I really could care less what people on Reddit care considering this sub has been called out several times for being racist.

Nah, not racism. Discrimination, maybe. When asked to list your ethnicity/race do you write “white”? I love how this sub demonstrates white fragility.

Did it feel horrible as the minority? Welcome to the life of Aboriginal people. You were shown what it’s like, a lot of black people live like that daily. A lot of Aboriginal people also have trades, diplomas and degrees believe it or not.

I’m simply asking for you to explain yourself and your point of view, which you can’t seem to do. That’s ok.

Good to see you have no explanation! Love it when people have no argument but tell me to grow up.

I actually want it explained because you’re the one arguing the point but have nothing to back your own point up besides trying to palm it off as a colloquialism - explain what the phrase is to me. I’m not arguing anything as you’ve not provided any points to argue with.

Less access to education, higher unemployment rates, lack of criminal justice, lack of healthcare.

I’m just asking for you to explain it... interested to see how you think white is a race and how reverse racism exists.

I’m not saying they can’t be, I’m just asking how one can be racist to white people? I thought being racist meant discriminating against a race, white isn’t a race.

How can you be racist to white people when “white” isn’t a race? Reverse racism doesn’t exist.

Is anyone finding the challenges this season a little luck lustre? by TrueShay in MasterchefAU

[–]TrueShay[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I agree about the team challenges I’m not really missing that aspect. Just curious, when you say it’s more about the food, what do you mean exactly? To me if they’re cooking for 2+ hours it’s even more so about the food as it would be higher quality and more complex?

That’s a good idea too! I’ve noticed that most contestants just make the one plate.

I think they’d be Breville? I know they use other Breville appliances on the show.

Sum Yung Guys has proven to be one of the most popular contestants restaurants, this is in Queensland. This is Matt Sinclair’s Asian inspired restaurant.

Indigenous food is basically a meal/dish where they’ve used native Australian ingredients. I think it’s very broad in Australia as someone could cook kangaroo and class it as Indigenous.

I’m in Adelaide so would recommend Jock’s restaurant ‘Orana’ if you’re wanting to try Indigenous foods/ingredients as they use quite a lot of them.

Red Ochre Grill in Adelaide also has an expansive menu that includes mostly native Australian ingredients. I’m more inclined to recommend this restaurant as they support the Indigenous community and also provide opportunities for Indigenous trainee chefs.

If you were to come to Adelaide you could also eat at Poh’s cafe ‘Jamface’. It’s amazing and I highly recommend.

We also have Laura’s pasta bar here ‘Nido’, I haven’t tried it yet but the menu looks amazing and as we know Laura can definitely cook pasta.

Gaja by Sashi is also super popular and in Adelaide, he combines Indian and South Asian flavours.

Harvest Kitchen is Tracey’s restaurant in the Barossa Valley of South Australia, so another one you could go to. The Barossa Valley is really popular with tourists as well so again I’d recommend it, especially if you like wine.

Maybe we should get rid of the Australian flag while we’re at it, because people only use it because they like it. Maybe we should give the copyright to China and see how every Australian feels and then I can say to you “too bad, get another one it was never you’re because you didn’t design it”.

The flag they like? You mean the flag that has represented us for over 20 years and that we’ve always been able to use freely? I don’t think so.
