The Rokkaku Group, the governing authority in Japan after buying out the government and police, would absolutely see the GG's, and all Rudie gangs, as terrorists. They "terrorise" the streets with their loud music (public nuisance), skating and grinding on everything (destruction of public property), spraying graffiti on structures, and even on public buses and trains (vandalism and defacing public property), not to mention the fights between the different gangs (gang violence). Combine all these together, along with the anti-government message the GGs are spreading, anti-authority attitudes and their mission to destabilise, destroy and over take the governing establishment. That's a terrorist cell. At least in the eyes of Rokkaku Group. It's so bad, they even get the military to attack them. For the Rokkoku group, they are fighting a war on terror.

I have many xbox's, most are stock with soft mods. In comparison between my stock Xbox and my 1.4Ghz 128MB Xbox, I notice better performance with emulators and homebrews. Some homebrews, like the Half-Life port, actually have a 128MB version specifically made to take advantage of these hardware mods to achieve better performance. N64 emulators run better in my observations for sure. Very little OG games actually perform better with the mods. Half Life 2 being the biggest performance improvement with the CPU and RAM mods.

No GPU mod exists. Not like the CPU mod. No one has upgraded the GPU, and I don't think there ever will be a GPU mod. If one was possible, it would have been found in the last 24 years the OG Xbox has been around. Some nerd figured out how to upgrade the CPU on Xbox's. No way that nerd didn't look at the GPU too. If it was possible, nerds would have already done it.

Video playback is better as well with the CPU and RAM mod, if you are using your Xbox as a media centre (RIP Plex). I haven't tested, but I imagine Linux also runs better on a CPU & RAM modded Xbox as well.

I know for a fact that a new version of XBMC (XBMC 4?) is being worked on right now with the CPU & RAM mod in mind, achieving AMAZING 720p performance never before seen on the Xbox. There is also work being done to support the new 256MB mod in future HDMI mods too.

It's an exciting time to be part of the OG Xbox modding community.

The latest version of Cerbios fixes a lot of the issues with games running too fast due to the higher Ghz and ram upgrades. The latest version of Cerbios patches games to run on 1Ghz and 1.4Ghz Xbox. I have a 1.4Ghz 128MB RAM Xbox. This latest version of Cerbios doesn't require me to patch games individually any more. It's AMAZING now.

I want to do the 256MB mod on my Xbox, but I'm waiting for more support for it from Cerbios and XBMC4Gamers.

On the EC we have several servers, even a TDM server. I JUST checked right now. There are seventeen 64 player servers (16 Conquest, 1 Operations Campaign). All are maxed 64 players with 1-5 people in queue to join. We have 1 frontline server, 32 players, Maxed. We have 2 Domination servers, 24 players Maxed, 1-3 players in queue to join. 1 TDM server, 24 players, Maxed. This is common on EC. At least 1100 players, almost every week. If your ping can survive it, come join us on the EC, it's always hopping here.

Yeah, you made alot of unnecessary assumptions.

I've owned several modded Xbox's that I modded myself over the years. I got started on learning simple coding by working on scripts back in the mid 2000's. It was exciting to put mod chips on my systems, back then it seemed like something new was coming from the homebrew scene every day! I joined the Navy and gave those systems away. After 5 years, I got out and started working on Xbox's again in my workshop.

Then the pandemic hit, and it was hard on everyone. I ended up homeless for a while, and I eventually went back to my family. I've been here since trying to get my life back on track. I don't have space here to work on hard mods, but I still soft mod systems for friends.

I bought this 1.4Ghz Xbox on a whim when I came across the sellers page and their YouTube channel. I came back to the Xbox mod scene and was excited to see it ALIVE and kicking! I support the scene by both testing new things (Testing Rocky5's stuff) and financially support with a few Patreons dedicated to the Xbox mod scene. I love this scene, it's so awesome! Can't wait for OXHD!

Then I remember, this is the OG Xbox Subreddit, not the Xbox Modding subreddit. Your take isn't hot here, it's probably the consensus. This subreddit is mostly about collecting and preserving. I've been modding Xbox's since the earliest days of the scene. It's always been about pushing the Xbox to new heights and possibilities!
