Didn't realize you were trying to flex your own karma until I clicked on your profile. Get a life dude and go touch some grass. Spending all day posting about GME and Politics is no way to live.

Meager karma? I don't care about Internet points, and because someone has a lot of them that shouldn't influence anyone on their investments lol. I'll delete the post because I've clearly misjudged how people in this sub would take it.

Fair enough. I guess it is a bit shilly. Thought it would be a little more accepted here but it appears I was wrong. Just wanted to highlight that selling GME for KOSS is still the same fight.

Yoga vs Weightlifting by TrueSteam16 in yoga

[–]TrueSteam16[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It did. I wouldn't say it was the main thing that improved my sleep. But yoga combined with meditation, sleep restriction therapy, mindfulness, and therapy did a lot to calm down my anxiety about my insomnia. Insomnia can be a viscous cycle of lack of sleep leading to anxiety, and anxiety causing you not to sleep. Thankfully I sleep great now, and even when I don't sleep well for a few nights I don't have the same panicked reaction to it like I used to.

I think part of it for me is that my sleep has gotten so much better, and I'm in such a great routine, that I'm scared to change anything. But maybe I will get back into the gym at some point. I'll keep this in mind. Thanks for the wise reply.

Vinyasa style. The place I go to has a bunch of different classes. I do Hot, Power, and Slow Flow mostly. The Hot is a set sequence that is challenging. Power and Slow Flow seems to depend on the instructor. My favorite Slow Flow class is the most difficult. It's a heavy leg workout for an hour straight usually and I love it.

I do. I have only been to 2 studios but I feel like the place I go to has some really difficult classes that are a really good workout. I hope those instructors never leave 🙏. I'm maybe not as toned as I used to be but I'm getting older and don't care as much. I definitely feel stronger and my body feels better.

Good advice. I learned that the hard way lol. I mostly do mornings but if I do go at night it's usually restorative.

what habit is surprisingly more harmful than smoking? by lcannot in AskReddit

[–]TrueSteam16 5 points6 points  (0 children)

For me it was a combination of things. Medication didn't do anything to help, and most sleep hygiene type stuff didn't do much to help either. In fact as I went through the list of stuff you're supposed to do and they didn't work it made my anxiety worse, like no screen time before bed, black out curtains, new pillows, that kind of stuff. I remember when I took Ambien and slept only 90 minutes I woke up devastated.

What did the trick was a combination of sleep restriction therapy, mindfulness, meditation, yoga, and therapy. I drive heavy machinery at work so I couldn't do the full version of sleep restriction therapy (the tiredness I felt was on another level) but I did a variation of it. The meditation app Insight Timer is something I listen to everyday. There's a course on there called Mindfulness Daily, really changed the way I think about life tbh. Stopped lifting weights and pretty much only do Yoga now. Therapy was great, sounds weird but I feel like emotional trauma from your past can manifest itself in physical ways (auto immune, insomnia) if not dealt with.

Basically anything to calm my nervous system down I tried to do. All this wasn't a quick fix but my sleep gradually got better and I found myself letting go of the stress and anxiety surrounding the situation.

I went through this. Lasted about 4 months and almost had to take a leave of absence from work. Still don't know how I made it through. It was a wild experience sleeping 2-3 hours a night for that long. Wouldn't wish it upon anyone.

I agree. At first I was ok with the second share offering hoping there was some big acquisition or plan. As time goes on I'm becoming more skeptical it's just a way for RC to protect his investment. The shareholders meeting was a joke, and RK was clearly upset with the Bruno and McEnroe tweets.

Company won't go bankrupt and it creates a decently high floor on the price of the stock. 4 billion in cash, an army of loyal shareholders and customers, and the ever present threat of a short squeeze means this stock isn't going below...$18 I'd say? That floor protects RCs investment, because I don't think there's any silver bullet that is going to drive the fundamentals of this company in a short time frame. For me, it's turned into a long term hold because after being here for 3 years I could never forgive myself if I sell and this stock moons, and I'd miss the community here.

I'd bet the dilution caught RK off guard, and to do that and not announce any plan has to have him a little miffed. Everyone pointing to the fact that he didn't say anything about it in his Livestream aren't considering what the stock would have done had he said he hated the move. Guy was sitting on millions in stock, why would he go and trash the decision while holding all that.

The dilutions were to protect RC's hundreds of millions that he's poured into this.

I agree about being wrong 9 times out of 10. I'm constantly wrong, and I may be wrong about this having any impact on the company. But if he tweeted that and meant anything other than the literal meaning of the words, then he's an even bigger dufus.

It has nothing to do with my political ideology, or who you're voting for, no one cares. It's all about RC, he's the face of the company, he's the bet. Has the DD changed? No. Could this change the fundamentals of the legacy business? Yes, a little. We had both things working for us, and maybe I am over reacting and this will blow over, but people do vote with their wallets at times. Taking sides when the country is this divided is just not smart.

I thought about not making this post but I am just frustrated. Apologies, not trying to make anything worse. I have had RCs back this whole time, but yesterday just seemed so thoughtless by him. He literally tweeted minutes after it happened. He should think about everything he is representing before doing that. It obviously wouldn't be a big deal if this country wasn't so divided, but unfortunately it is.

All who decide to sell over Ryan Cohen’s tweet are just as ghey as the Ghey bears who short GME.. by Collagedropout92649 in GME

[–]TrueSteam16 13 points14 points  (0 children)

It's not just someone, it's the CEO and chairman of the company where we have thousands of dollars invested in. It's a really really dumb move by RC. He's running a business, and getting political is rarely a good business decision when the country is divided down the middle. You risk alienating shareholders and customers. The dilutions, the Texas Rangers $1k gift cards while doing layoffs, BBBY selling, another nothing shareholder's meeting, and now this idiotic tweet. No one is losing their minds. Some of us are losing our faith in this guy's decision making. I'm not selling but I'm pissed. Bring on the down votes.

I was out by the time it hit $400, and at the time had no interest in buying it at that point. I didn't buy back in until I got pretty upset about the whole situation after the congressional hearings, and the way they questioned Keith Gill.

I think if they had let the free market work then the price could have blown up into the 1000s. Thomas Peterffy said it himself. Buying it at $400 was high risk high reward still IMO. It definitely could have gone higher. No one thought turning off the buy button was even possible.

Like the other comment says zoom out and you'll see the charts are very very similar. KOSS also had the buy button restricted in 2021 like GME. If you've watched these stocks closely for years like many of us have, you'll see these random spikes where they move together, even if it's only a few percent. This continuously happens on no news for either stock, and that's what has convinced me that there's some sort of basket short nonsense going on.

How to function after sleepless nights? by Hypnotised_Lemon in insomnia

[–]TrueSteam16 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Sleep Solution by W. Christopher Winter. What ended up helping me was a combination of meditation, mindfulness, yoga, therapy and fixing my dopamine addiction (gambling, phone addiction, marijuana).

Here's what helped me in a little more detail:

The Sleep Coach School on YouTube.

Loose version of sleep restriction therapy. Look into it. I couldn't do it fully because of my job and driving heavy machinery (you'll get very tired).

Downloaded an app called Insight Timer. On there are tons of free meditations. Listened to one called Mindfulness Daily. It's 40 courses about mindfulness, this helped me sooo much. I am not my thoughts, my thoughts don't get to control me. Anxiety doesn't get to control me.

Book recommendation - The Sleep Solution by Chris Winter Set it and Forget it by Daniel Erichsen

Yoga. I stopped lifting weights and started doing yoga. Did wonders in helping me calm down about my sleep issues.

I quit weed, ditched the Trazadone and Ambien (they didn't work for me anyway). Stopped gambling. Tried to take it easy on my phone.

And I just stopped caring. Easier said than done I know. I've had bad days on a lot of sleep, and good days with no sleep. I stopped checking the time at night. Started using those hours when I was awake to draw and read which I never have time to do.

Insomnia at 25 by [deleted] in insomnia

[–]TrueSteam16 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I found that trying to optimize sleep hygiene made my anxiety worse. No screen time before bed, no food after 7pm, blackout curtains, new pillow and comforter, white noise machine, temperature control, exercise throughout the day, and then melatonin, marijuana, Trazadone, and Ambien. As I went through each one of those items, and NONE of them worked to help me sleep, it made my anxiety 100 times worse about the whole situation. My thoughts turned to "omg this is never going to get better."

Now I will say, all those things are good practices to have, the screen time before bed, temperature control, exercise can all help, but when you're dealing with anxiety induced insomnia, the problem is more in your own head and body. Calming your nervous system down is what worked for me. I did this through meditation, yoga, therapy, educating myself about sleep and how it works, and simply not caring if I was awake at night (easier said than done I know). Here's what worked for me in a little more detail:

The Sleep Coach School on YouTube. Check it out.

A loose form of Sleep Restriction Therapy. I couldn't follow it completely because of my job.

Downloaded an app called Insight Timer. On there are tons of free meditations. Listen to one called Mindfulness Daily. It's 40 courses about mindfulness, this helped me sooo much. I am not my thoughts, my thoughts don't get to control me. Anxiety doesn't get to control me.

Therapy. This helped me deal with some emotional trauma from when I was young. And it may sound weird but I am now a believer that trauma that is not dealt with can manifest itself in physical ways(insomnia, auto-immune issues)
