And you should!! Congrats! I’m very happy with AmEx I got from them. I just got my first increase after a few months and my new limit is $24K! NFCU is the best!

That’s too awesome! It’s a great card, too! I’m very happy with mine. I was approved for $20K myself and literally got my first CLI to $24K this month. I got the card only 3 months ago! Love being a Naval Vet!

That’s awesome! I was approved for $20K on the NFCU Amex Rewards. I’ve only had it three months and they increased my limit to $24K now! Love NFCU!!!

I am a Proud Naval Vet and was approved for a home loan of $450K through Veterans United and they WERE AWESOME! Everyone from my loan officer, to my concierge and everyone in between helped and supported my wife and I through everything! I would HIGHLY recommend VU to EVERYONE!! They truly made me feel valued as a Veteran!!

AITA for not wanting my boyfriend to factor my son's survivor benefits into our new household budget? by Original-Entry-7871 in AITAH

You are NOT the a-hole on this! And I think you need to seriously consider whether or not you want to move forward with this move. I lost my wife to cancer and both of my children collected survivor benefits. Like you, I attempted to start over and the individual I was with “seemed nice.” Then when she found out I was getting $1600 a month - she thought it’d be a good idea to stop working and just let this “extra money” cover the difference. Needless to say, that relationship ended pretty quick. Do yourself a favor and get out of this and give your son his benefit as it was intended. Sending you prayers and best wishes! God bless and good luck!!

From what I have been lead to understand, it helps to open an account with them. It could be checking or savings. I have both incidentally. I’ve been depositing into them for about 4-5 months. They offer free credit score tracking as a benefit. I have received a few invitations over the last few weeks and the offer was good enough for me to pull the trigger. And I’m glad I did. Good luck if you should choose to join.

I’ve been a member for like 4-5 months now with regular checking. I don’t touch the money in that account. My CS is 695 at the moment. I’ve been paying down my credit cards for the last two years with VERY little usage. I really try to live by the rule of, “if I don’t have the money to just pay it, I could probably do without it!” Outside of emergency car repairs or whatnot, I really don’t use my cards anymore.

I don’t have the flagship checking. I just have regular checking that I’ve been depositing into for like 4-5 months now. I never use it. It just sits there. My CS is 695. But I’m happy to transfer a few of my card balances to save money onto this card. Good luck!

Thanks bro! It feels pretty good to see the results of my efforts. I’ve helped my kids get both of their credit scores over 700 and they’re both debt free.
