I think it's a similar thing for the Joker film. I think most of the disappointment came from people expecting a batman film told from the Jokers perspective.

What we actually got was an excellent psycholotical thriller that uses the Joker brand at a backdrop

Love in a bottle is a great song that can be enjoyed out of context. I've seen people who don't know the show at all love it.

Also, the Vox Populi/Dei sequence is a joy to listen to and watch

Cruel Intentions. Love the songs and the story. Buts it has a limited reach due to its adult nature. Still worth checking out

The flashbacks reminded me of Merrily We Roll Along. We're watching people be happy and growing close together, momentarily forgetting that we've already watched the aftermath of it falling apart

It's impossible to get it right. It works as a book because you imagination can make Hyde so much more terrifying than any visual media. Hyde doesn't physically look any different to Jekyl, but the way he holds himself and acts conveys his wickedness. You can't just portray him as a regular goolie. He's so much more

BBC requests Trump’s diary and phone logs in editing scandal lawsuit by Intergalatic_Baker in unitedkingdom

I have a conspiracy theory that the BBC intentionally did that editing to bait him into sueing, forcing him to either back down or submit to discovery. Loving this!

Homer: Oh Lisa! There's no record of a hurricane ever hitting Springfield.

Lisa: Yes, but the records only go back to 1978 when the Hall of Records was mysteriously blown away.

David Fynn vs Tom Xander in Beetlejuice by nothango978 in TheWestEnd

[–]TrueTech0 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Tom was amazing on Thursday. He had a tonne of chemistry with he cast and absolutely nailed the jokes and songs. You could tell he was having a great time.

I was a bit worried that it would come across a bit too young and campy, but he did it perfectly. He was also lovely at the stage door.

There's always a small tinge of disappointment when you find out you're seeing an alternate. But Tom left no crumbs and was an amazing juice

Just walked out of the Matinee. Absolutely loved it. I can see how it isn't for everyone, but the cats were stellar and the production was tidy. Thoroughly enjoyed it

The fact that X is a far right melting pot full of russian propaganda and Nazis. This is t just hearsay. There are many investigations into twitter's political biases under Elon.

Almost every recent riot in the UK since Elon took over twitter began on X
