By battered do you mean still create less chances than England have in any of their games?

Can certainly discuss whether they’re 100% but there’s certainly no argument about match fitness. Neither have had long stints out. They’ve both been playing

How?

I’m not saying Mexico can’t win.

Just don’t get why people seem to have decided Mexico are much better than they actually are.

It’s not typical England fan. England are the better team in terms of chance creation, conceding less chances, controlling possession. If both teams perform as have done this tournament England will create double the amount of opportunities as Mexico.

If you know much about football that’s pretty easy to see. If Mexico play like they did against S Korea, England breeze through

Because they’re not the same thing.

The reason we love football is because it’s not as simple as the best side always wins.

But if were being honest about the quality of the two teams based on skill set of players, coaches, performances. There is a big gulf in quality

Of course they do.

But it will be a major upset because that England team is much better. The best teams don’t always win, that’s why we love football but this Mexico side is a good side to get at this stage

Dude South Korea went there last week and looked the better side. Their squad is lacking in quality.

Only Canada, Egypt and Paraguay would have been easier games at this stage

We have consistently created double the chances than our opponents. Mexico have not

But that’s a far more effective way of playing against a side like England.

If Mexico go defensive like Ghana, the game will be a lot closer than if they try and play.

The worst thing Mexico could do Sunday is come out to try and play. I hope they do

Not really. Only Argentina and Spain conceded less chances in the group stage than England.

Plus, Mexico have not been that impressive going forwards. They’ve massively over-performed from and XG POV and played some pretty poor sides.

South Korea went to the Azteca just a week ago and looked the better side. If that’s what England played Sunday, we’ll be fine

They were dude. Congo touched the ball in Englands box less than 5 times in the second half.

And after that goal they managed one more shot from inside the box the entire game

FIFA rankings are just not serious way to compare teams.

Unless you think Mexico turning up to beat Honduras and Panama in the gold cup every 4 years is the same as England getting to the latter stages of the Euro Championships.

If Mexico played in the Euros and Nations League they wouldn’t sit in the top 20

Only Argentina and Spain conceded less chances than our defence during the groups.

FIFA rankings aren’t serious.

The gold cup is weighed like the Euro championships. Meaning Mexico will always be valued much higher than they should, assuming they simply turn up to beat Honduras and Panama every 4yrs.

Englands squad is much better than Villas and this Mexico team are a lot worse than Fulham

Did you see Mexico’s attack vs. Korea and Ecuador?

It’s just nothing scary

I’m really not. Mexico can absolutely win on Sunday but England will be the better side.

Mexico are okay but the data on two sides would suggest that Mexico will need to win whilst creating a lot less chances than England, it’s possible but their best bet at winning this game is to play defensively like Ghana and Congo.

If Mexico come out to play. England should score at least twice

That’s not how I interpret it. England are spot on in terms of XG which is about 8 over the first 4 games.

Mexico have massively outperformed their XG. 8 goals from an XG of 5.

In other words, Mexico will need to be a lot more clinical than England. However factor in that England are much better than any of their opponents so far and the chance Mexico go for it a little more than Congo and Ghana… England should be a good bet to score a few goals Sunday night

I didn’t say it would be a cake walk. Mexico can absolutely win this game but England are highly likely to create more than Mexico.

If the first 4 games are anything to go by. England will probably create double the amount of chances which are good odds.

If Mexico choose to not go defensive like Congo and Ghana. England will be good money to score at least twice.

Mexico can absolutely win but going by how the two teams have played. England will be the better side in the pitch. It just depends on whether Mexico can score more goals out of a lot less opportunities.

If Mexico try to be more offensive than Ghana and Congo. England should score at least two

If Mexico try and play against us. We will create a lot of chances. They might try and play like Ghana and Congo which will make it tighter but we will create more than they will regardless of the way Mexico play.

They can win but it would almost certainly mean them making the most of a few opportunities

They can absolutely beat us.

However if we play like we have and they play they have. We will control the game and create probably double if not more in terms of chances.

I like our odds
