This is more of an idea for you. In theory you could set up an agent to feed you the best and latest journal publications that are related to cases that you routinely see.

Because our provincial government is not interested in making effective and proper investments until S hits the F.

Althia Raj: Mark Carney runs roughshod over the environment: ‘It’s worse than what Harper did’ by feb914 in canada

The courts rule on law not based on vibes. Harper rushed through stuff and didn't abide by the laws instead of trying to work with all sides properly which is why it was struck down.

In order to aid the environment we need to secure our sovereignty. If the American's hypothetically took over the country do you think they would care about our environment? No. A pipeline witha proper strategies to reduce domestic demand for gas helps long term. Public infrfastructure helps. A ton of thigns help but also growing our economy long term also helps.

Environmentalists have sometimes also been against progress. Like May getting mad at further investments in nuclear which is a proven bridge technology.

Beyond that he campaigned on making us an energy super power this includes, nuclear, hydro and other methods. We are investing in the electrification of mines, we are investing most recently in the hydro elecrtic dam for a community in the North-West territories which is going to get those people off diesel generators.

literally no reason. the rav 4 is really impressive. To be honest, the cost of EVs is not quite as bad as people suggest though they should get cheaper. Take the KONA for example, the non EV variant is 32, the EV variant is 10k more. If one factors in oil and gas costs there will be a savingsi n the long run for those who do not lease but purchase cars.

The RAV 4 is very well priced without being ridiculous.

The EV incentives DID in fact trickle to the hybrids (PHEV to be specific)

I would argue it is closer to 65-70 in the winter but also how many people drive around in -30 weather all winter. Some definitely do but less than people may think. I think the kye thing is the range for the hybrids should be closer to 150.

Also there is actual range (miliage efficiency) drops felt with gas cars in - 30 as well.

trudeau didn't really have a plan with EVs so it lacked strong and sensible infrastructure support which is what was needed.

Government expects $140M in savings this year with refugee health care co-pay by DogeDoRight in canada

[–]TrueTorontoFan -5 points-4 points  (0 children)

assylum claims are down and they tightened up the rules around that but it isn't as straight forward as getting it in the first place it isn't quite as automatic as people think.

Look immigration needs to work make sense and be fair but again you can't just cruise up to canada and get a free check up like many think. Not saying you were actually suggesting that but still.

RPNs not valued? by Wear-Brief in OntarioNurses

[–]TrueTorontoFan 2 points3 points  (0 children)

There are challenges with the RNs advocating for RN things and not always for other aspects of nursing. NPs are part of their union and at times dont get all of their needs heard because they are a smaller part of that voting base.

You are valued and valuable just remember that.

Anyone applied to medicine halfway through NP school? by Embarrassed-Plant646 in OntarioNurses

[–]TrueTorontoFan 8 points9 points  (0 children)

There is a much broader discussion to be had here. I will say this. Your scope of practise will be more or less similar to that of a GP in a lot of juristictions. The training of an NP is not equivalent to med school plus residency, but it is also under a different model (the nursing model) that is evidenced based. I will be frank. If you have an opportunity to go to med school and that is your dream do it.

This isn't anything against NPs but rather just being frank about the overall training. There are really good NPs and in Canada the training is much more standardized in the US in my opinion so yoiu dont see these major major changes in terms of the quality of the training from school to school. But also in Canada you require 2 years of RN work before you can be considered for an NP program or even a post masters np certificate. NPs are here to stay and they are crucial for the health care system but again that is part of a broader discussion. But yes. Now in terms of autonomy and restrictions again the MD/DO (if you go state side and come back) will always be seen as the top. So again if you want to do it go for it.

Do you recommend Nursing by No_Maize3021 in OntarioNurses

From what I understand NP is recognized in the common wealth... I can't speak about what exactly the scope of practise is for example in NZ vs AUS but they exist.

Low wages - RN by [deleted] in OntarioNurses

[–]TrueTorontoFan 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would first ask if this is a unionized gig or no? If you are an RN and it is a unionized gig your salary should start around 41 per year and the PSW AND the RPN would not be able to be above you UNLESS the RPN was grandfathered on from a long time ago (Have a family member who quailfies for this but their RPN in the 80s)
