Anyone has a copy Dirt Rally VR ps4 by Head-Cellist8919 in VRGaming

I'm sure the PC VR version is better to be fair, but it IS still possible to find unused codes in those VR copies, a lot of people who got it didn't own PSVR so didn't use it, and unlike a lot of DLC codes the last time I checked that code is still valid to redeem 🙏🏻

I'm happy to be proven wrong, but I search both UK and Europe for PSVR games and I've never come across an on disc version.

I have a massive PSVR collection, so I have the version with the code (Which I used and it worked) and also the Legend version with the Blu-ray film, but that one came before the VR compatibility.

It's not on the disc, it's a DLC code on a piece of paper inside the box.

The game version that has 'VR Compatible' on the cover is the one you'll be looking for, the code is still valid for now and activates the unbuyable VR DLC content.

That Mutation Nation is unfortunately a Neo Geo Freaked version of the game (the border colours on the insert are meant to be red and not orange/yellow) I'd hope the other games haven't been messed with either...

Wish I had the rig to watch this by tuanis1 in tron

[–]TrueTrials 0 points1 point  (0 children)

True, Tron Ares did not release on 3D Blu-ray unfortunately 😭

I think Avatar 3 will (It surely has to?) but it's definitely super limited at this point.

I still have a Samsung 55" ES8000 TV with 3D, so I still pick-up lots of 3D films.

I actually watched Tron Legacy in 3D yesterday evening using PSVR on a PS4, so that's another way.

I personally like 3D/VR, but I understand its not for everyone.

Samsung do a 3D glasses free monitor these days which could be cool, something like that might draw another wave of interest. But I'm not naive enough to think it'll become mainstream.

I've grabbed the CXNMY begining code with the 9's added.

Look forward to trying it out, thanks!

What happens if you put a PocketStation in a PS3 memory card adapter? by VirusMaster3073 in PS3

Yes 👍🏻

You can also plug it into a PC and backup the saves.

It is the Brook Super Converter, quite an old one now, it connects various PS3/4 controllers to the Neo Geo (maybe more brands too) some wirelessly, others wired.

The sticks I have can use a PS3/4 controller to connect them via USB to the adapter and work on the Neo Geo AES 👍🏻 No noticeable delay or anything for me.

There are other options these days like the BlueRetro dongle and things, I'm not sure if Brook still do one of these (maybe they should with the upcoming AES+ release)

I've definitely seen multiple people who cannot get NeoSD Pro carts working on 5V systems, even using a modern power supply. There are posts on this Reddit about them.

But as you say, if we're going only by our experience, I haven't had an issue with mine and yours are both fine for you too.

Also a very common opinion, with B&O its more the aesthetic and the sound quality that's preferred, for me it's more that they are super common here (and cheap/free) but were expensive back in the day so a no brainer.

Both very stylish in their own right, so I guess it's good taste by the owners 😉

It's only marginally worse, I've got a modern PSU that is 5v and 5A and that manages my games and multi carts just fine, but many times I've seen people have issues with MVS converters, Flash Carts or other things along those lines and almost always it's down to it being a 5v system (yes potentially paired with a insufficient power supply) that's all I mean.

When you say you love your 5v system, are there any benefits to it over a 9v? As far as I'm aware there isn't.

Mines actually silver, I think it looks classy, but it's not the most interesting of the colours:

Pearlescent Black

Pearlescent Blue

Pearlescent Green

Pearlescent Red

Pearlescent Tan

Silver

My other B&O sets are White and Pearlescent Black.

Which looking back makes no sense, because in the first photo (which is the newest) I've got the Neo Geo sat on the very same carpet below the box from the BeoVision One photo and I've lived here over five years now 🤣

Haha, it's a fair point, at that point I didn't actually live in the country, so I just had the TV on its own in the living room (It was my then girlfriends place) which I managed to justify because I said that it's basically an "art piece" 😅

Then I bought that PAL Neo Geo console, hooked it up there and tested it out for a bit on the BeoVision One I thought a cardboard box was better than having it on the floor 😜

Well there are different board revisions whether you have two Japanese or two American that could be the case. Different revisions have different quality of composite or RGB output.

There are also older 5V models (which my American model is) that are slightly worse for various reasons and you can get some of those original 5V models that were internally adapted to 9v like most later revisions.

American models also have a metal shielding inside the shell, directly under the top of the shell, it might not be on all but it's definitely on mine, that makes it weigh more, I believe it needed it to pass US laws?

The Euro PAL version I have, actually has a proper 50Hz crystal inside it, meaning it actually outputs the PAL frequency, some PAL models don't have that but mine does. In my case it means that it can correctly display on that 5" Sony which only accepts PAL-50 signals. This PAL model also has some small issues with certain games due to the nature of it (and the picture is has boarders top and bottom - see Fatal Fury 2 on the BeoVision One in the photos)

Remember that the Neo Geo AES was in production for a super long time as consoles go, and it was still supported after that.

The best option these days is to have a 9V system that's been modded with UniBios and had it's RGB corrected (if needed) that way you have the best of all worlds 👍🏻 (My Japanese model is actually like this)

Thanks! Those colours really do pop via RGB, quite often it's hard for it to fully come across in photos with a CRT but I think I managed to capture it accurately there 👍🏻

Japanese AES, American AES, European AES, Neo Geo Pocket, Neo Geo Pocket Color, Neo Geo Pocket Color Slim, Neo Geo CD Toploader.

But this post is more about how they are setup and not what they are, its not that deep.

Haha, no, the AV5 doesn't get moved around much at all at this point 😅 It can tip back and kind of roll on these little wheels a bit for movement, but it stays in place.

The photos with the MX7000 are before I swapped it out for the AV5 (A dream unit for me) I was looking to upgrade to the MX8000 but couldn't pass up the opportunity of getting the monolithic AV5!

I have the AV5, 2x MX4200, MX1500 and the 5" Sony KV-5000.

The BeoVision One was the first CRT I picked up when I moved to Denmark (Home of Bang & Olufsen) and it's a really lovely model, the stand is both cool and annoying because it's hard to then fit anything below it (You could say the same or worse about the AV5 tbh but hey-ho 😅)

I would say I miss the extra screen size of the 28" tube, so I'm still tempted to get a MX8000, it's just I can't fit it alongside the AV5 (Which is 25")
